Philbin turned an undrafted free agent into a starting right tackle. He does know what he is doing.

Philbin also got rid of the best center prospect on the Cowboys.

And La'el was the 11th ranked OT last season compared to Steele who was ranked 48th.

Steele is a great story but I'm not giving any credit to an vet OL coach who was playing musical chairs on OL that was most penalized in NFL which directly resulted in killing offensive momentum going into postseason.

Sound familiar?

If Philbin and MM convince Jerry and Stephen to go this route then it will be a comedy of errors of the worst sort.

Wish I could buy you a clue, it's easier than explaining things to you.

You need a clue, there's no explanation, he's here to be a left tackle , leave him there. Let him get the experience.

LOL

You could say exact same thing about his play at LT.

The difference is that Tyler was considerably more productive at LG at both run blocking and pass blocking than Philbin's favorite.

Exactly the point, you can say that, but that's the position he was brought here to play, it's his natural position , and he's improving every week, why would you mess with it. It's not about Philbin, everybody in the FO and the headcoac h has come out and said it's his position, you're also wrong he wasn't better pass blocking at guard than McGovern.

Peters was going to play Right Guard for the Eagles in 2020 before the starting LT broke his arm.
There was that talk that he wanted a pay raise before going back to LT from Guard.

Not saying he's a natural there, but a few coaching staffs have wanted to try him at guard.

This is so silly. Peters is a LT, play him there. If Tyron wasn't hurt, Tyler would be at LG. Improve two positions here.

I want the best five lining up out there. If that means Peter's at guard, let's get him up to speed and in the lineup as soon as possible.

Ditto here,

Plus with McGovern out, what if there's another injury in the interior ? .

i would think once the club thinks Peters is up to snuff, a move will be to place him somewhere in the starting lineup, whether OT or OG,
How long will that be remains to be seen.

Was hoping to see him at LG. I was worried about Smith when the season started that this may be too much too soon for him at one of the most demanding OL position on the team. Smith has not only held up he has played very well and with on 1 false start penalty. I think Smith is showing he can handle this. Meantime LG is an issue and Peters can play the spot and upgrade that weakness.

They sure are taking their sweet time with the Peters experiment.

This is further proof that Tyler Smith is the new franchise LT. He isn't giving that job back.

If Tyler was brought in to play LT then why did Philbin not give him a SINGLE rep at that position in preseason?

Because it is obvious that Tyler was drafted to play LG first and foremost then maybe LT in the future.

Don't let facts get in the way of your fake narratives.

Funny none of the three guys have a job with an NFL team let alone the Cowboys.

Baldinger, a former OL, also doesn't work for NFL teams or Cowboys.

But his obvious expertise is OL.

Snark does not equate to knowledge.
