Must be true, since every one-score game has exactly one winner and one loser.Statistics say that in the long run teams win 50 percent of their one score games.

Brees has missed exactly one game since he signed with the Saint's.............yea, Payton not winning that one game Brees missed is the same as Garrett not being able to win a game all dam season.................apples to oranges my friend.
And as far as this being knee jerk, Garrett is completing his 5th full season on the job and has broken the 8 win marker just one time.
And yes, you are done if you lose your starting QB as far as a SB run goes, but you dam sure don't lose every single game. I see teams week in and week out trotting out 2nd and 3rd stringers and getting wins.
Losing 7 consecutive games in the NFL is a sign of bad coaching, plain and simple............Jerry is finally starting to realize this.
This post right here! I just looked and saw that the Saints are top 5 in yards per game and top 10 in points per game. All of this after they traded their best weapon in Jimmy Graham. I know they still have Brees but I remember people thinking their offense would be terrible this year etc. Sean Payton gets the best out of his offense plain and simple!
Exactly bro............posters trying to compare Garrett to Payton is laughable
Payton has a ring while Garrett has posted more than 8 wins just once in his entire coaching career...........yea, the two are totally equal![]()
I know! I'll be shocked if Garrett is fired so I'm not going to get my hopes up![]()
Sounds like he's drinking again. These thoughts are best kept internal. Throw a clock at Garrett just behind closed doors.
wiseacre!
Seriously I wonder what the breakdown is by QB, team and coach over a reasonable time.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones does not seem impressed with the job done by coach Jason Garrett this season. Jones says he thought the coaching staff could have done a better job of succeeding despite the injury to Tony Romo, and he’s disappointed that it wasn’t until Monday night in Washington that they managed to win…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2367621&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

Here's the last 10 seasons.
If you look at the teams at the bottom of that list, you see a lot of bad QB, bad turnover luck, and a lot of coaching changes.
Have you ever heard the saying, "the man with the gold makes the rules?".
When the owner of the team says it is bad coaching, doesn't matter what anybody else says because he is the one signing the paychecks.
Don't get me wrong........... there are issues beyond just Garrett. There are some roster issues that need to be fixed as well.
But it's clear Garrett is not an upper echelon coach and this organization shouldn't let a few roster issues deflect from the fact that the coaching staff hasn't done a great job themselves.
Garrett has one good year out of 5 so it's not like he has some great track record to fall back on that allows one to just ignore this season. He's been pretty much an average head coach for much of his career.

Was it bad head coaching when Dez single-handedly gave away the Tampa game? Was it bad coaching when the defense gave away the Saints game in OT? Was it bad coaching when Cassel threw brain-dead picks against New York to lose that game? Was it bad coaching when the crappy Eagles offense scored all over Marinelli's defense and won in OT? Was it bad head coaching when Dallas gave away a late drive to lose to Seattle by one point?
It's not that plain and simple.
Bad luck and bad backup quarterback options doomed this season. The injuries to Dez and Romo, coupled with an unfortunate schedule during that time against high-quality quarterbacks, is the culprit. Playcalling and coaching decisions have played a minimal role.

If you don't think bad play calling and coaching decisions have more than a minimal role in the current state of the team you are delusional.
I seem to remember a DB getting a holding call after we fell on a fumble that would have won the game.
I don't know how Dez was in involved in that but whatever.
As for the rest of that yes bad coaching could correlate with all of that.

Garrett has never had a losing season. This would be the first.
Look, I'm not trying to couch Garrett as the next Vince Lombardi. I'm saying he's as good as we can hope for as long as Jerry is here.
The proven transcendent coach isn't coming here.
