No, I am saying when one of the parties has serious credibility issues AS IT RELATES TO THE CASE ON HAND, past incidents of potential character flaws carry far less weight.

That's why the DA didn't press charges.

You are trying to play a game of gotcha here and losing.
I'm not playing anything. You said

"Zeke lying about a totally different matter has absolutely nothing to do with this case. You can keep trying to claim it does, but it doesn't."

followed by

"Well luckily we have some precedent here. The DA in Columbus, knowing that Elliott probably has lied in the past about other things, chose not to press charges because he knew that her credibility versus his would be difficult to overcome given the facts of the case"

Haha, make up your mind dude and get back to me when you figure it out. You're all over the place.

I know I am not going to crack the case here.... but I have one question about all of this. If the abuse happened before the July 21/22 and she took pictures of her injuries. Where did they disappear to when she falsely accused him? The police were called and interviewed her. She complained of pain but refused medial treatment... If she was had bruises the Police would have seen them and documented them, correct??

Regardless, do you know if there's any chance the NFL could have more "evidence" that ourselves (the fans) and/or the NFLPA and Zeke don't know about? Or is it all mandatory to be out there?

I feel pretty confident the suspension will be reduced at a minimum, if not dismissed but I'm pretty worried the NFL was expecting this and has or knows something we don't.

The NFL still has a chance to save face. The question will be whether pride gets in the way. I'm guessing it does, and they dig in no matter how foolish it looks.

I have stated multiple times that it's possible the NFL might have more evidence. But they better, because if what they've shown through the letter to Elliott is the best they have, that should not be nearly good enough to essentially call Elliott a domestic abuser.

FWIW, isn't this one of the league's contentions? That they believe Elliott and the girl were living together? Elliott has apparently countered that sure, they slept together and stayed together but they were technically not living together.

I've been on several DV incidents and more times than not the victim doesn't want to go to the hospital and/or press charges. This ranges from cases of someone getting knocked out with a foreign object to red marks on the wrist so that portion doesn't surprise me and is consistent with most victims.

As far as the police taking photographs, I really have no idea because I'm sure the laws and/or department protocols vary by state but I would tend to believe they should have taken pictures.

Where are the photos the police took of her injuries on the 22nd when she called them? If she called for DV and had the injuries she showed in her photos, they must have taken pictures of her injuries. If not, the officers should be fired and there should be an investigation into the police. Right??

Agreed :)

Not calling you out, genuinely curious, are you stating they could have more evidence because that's what YOU think or is there a chance they could have more because they're not obligated to release everything? I would think that they would have to release everything they are currently aware of, no? On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't the case and we can blame the union for that, just like for giving Goodell this much power.

I agree but again, it could vary from state to state and department to department. I would think that if she made ANY accusation, they would be obligated to take a picture whether they believed her or not but I can't say for certainty.

I am saying that of course the possibility exists they have more evidence. But it would be surprising that they might have something that directly implicates Elliott that say the authorities wouldn't have had.

Also, their quick reaction to the NFLPA seemed more like a statement out of panic than solid footing. Almost like they know they are in for a fight, don't have the facts on their side, so their new tactic will be to try to make Elliott and the NFLPA out to be monsters for trying to attack the girl via press leaks.

But we will find out eventually.

According to the NFL, Thompson took pictures of bruises on her on the 19th. She texted them to her mother and just wrote ‘Abusive’ in the text. The NFL claims that people saw her with bruises on her prior to the 21st. It wasn’t unitl the 22nd that she filed a police report and more photos were taken. The NFL has stated that it demanded that EE explain away the bruises that she photographed on the 19th and he could not come up with an explanation that they found to be sufficient.

Headline- " Henderson reduces Elliott suspension by 1/4 of a game. Embattled Cowboys running back can return at the beginning of the fourth quarter of Dallas' week eight game. Jerry Jones refuses comment, but makes vague reference to having sex tape of Goodell and Mara."

But apparently the Police who saw her on the 22nd didnt see these bruises??
Where are the photos the police took? I'm sure someone would have posted these by now?

I hear you and really hope you are 100% right... Zeke has not exactly been an upstanding citizen in the meantime, and where there is smoke, usually (not every time)-- there is fire. Just leaving room for the truth to emerge in this case.

As Parcells used to say when it came to players claiming innocence off the field--"it's never your fault, but you are always there" lol

Hoping Zeke wakes up and knuckles down for his own sake.

I get that and regardless of the outcome of this I hope in the end Zeke understands that his life has now changed now that he is on the national stage. It matters what you do and who you hang with. I do think in this case it pure and simple looks like a woman who was upset that he dumped her and sought revenge.

Zeke has to grow up. He's a Cowboy now. Everything he does is going to be used against him.

Police did not take photos. The photos taken where the ones she placed on Instagram.

So can Zeke play against the Giants if this thing is under appeal?
