IF the team has issue with it then they should tell him to step away while he fights the NFL. I doubt that is the case or his teammates feel it is. Regardless it is 100% up to Zeke as it should be.

oh I agree - but who's got the balls to do that - well I tell you one thing I don't wanna see him on the bench this week again like last week- he looked like he did not even know which city he was in

Here's a legitimate question.

Will Zeke get suspended for something else before this ruling is final?

I have a fear that if this drags on for a year or so and Zeke ultimately loses, he'll effectively be finished in football. Due to the spotlight on this case, the public reaction will be Hardy x 100. Cowboys will have to fire him.

You could also see TT sobbing on some Dr Phil type show about how she was a victim and how Zeke wanted her to abort the baby she always wanted.

NFLPA will also get a severe backlash - which helps NFL in the next CBA.

If hes ultimately going to lose the window for humbly accepting the punishment and moving on is fast closing.

Zeke just take the 6 and let it be done. The team should manage. We don't need this guy out when we start to make a playoff run.

not to mention ratings at an all time low, the goodell era needs to end and hopefully jerry can get it done.
Not sure where you guys get this stuff.

Goodell is about to sign an extension that will keep him as commissioner into the mid-2020's.

And Jerry is on board with this.

So easy to suggest when it is not your name being dragged through the mud
I realize that there are many fans that believe Zeke's hands are completely clean in all of this. I'm not naive enough to be one of them. Serve your time, learn from it, get in shape....and move on already.

Do they make a ruling just based on briefs?
Is there no hearing? Does the judge not get to ask questions about what he read in the briefs?
What we are waiting for now from the 5th circuit is whether or not Mazzant's restraining order should be overturned.

If it is overturned, Zeke is suspended immediately.

The much more likely result is that Mazzant's restraining order is upheld. At that point there will be a full hearing in front of the 5th circuit. That process will take months until it is concluded. And Zeke will be able to play until a final decision is reached.

The NFLPA is not going to want this case to be dropped by Zeke. It's been so egregiously, poorly run by the NFL that it's their best shot at curtailing Goodell's make-up-anything powers. Blatantly unfair process combined with a demonstrably unreliable, vindictive, 'victim'. If the courts rule on this in their favor, it's a bargaining chip they don't have to give up something for in the next CBA.

If I was Zeke, at the end of the legal process, regardless of outcome, I'd start looking into civil suits against Goodell, NFL, etc. It's been handled so poorly, he might win.

New Orleans huh? Sweet. Wonder if any Saints fans will be in the house? So this means Zeke will for sure be eligible for the next two games.

take it as you will. hey i was like you i argued that jerry wouldnt have any say in it but as of late seen this and a story on PFT that said he was slowing it down.

there was that report that an extension was imminent, after that hadnt heard anything about it since. could get done still, probably will. but its not as imminent as insiders made it seem.
