Dan was nowhere to be found when Jerrah was going after Roger. The only owner who would have been on Jerrah side was gone from this earth.

That's understandable, since Snider is already on the precipice of being ousted by Goodell and the league. I wouldn't doubt that there are several of the owners in the NFL who would like to see Jerry being ousted, as well.

So Jerry teamed up with that creep Snyder whose team was sexually harassing women and the Papa John's guy who used the "N" word during a conference call, to take out Roger.
And these three idiots actually thought it would work:lmao2:

And lets look at the fallout from this. Snyder is probably going to lose his team, the Papa Johns guy is a national disgrace, and Jerry's team leads the NFL in penalties and the season ended with Dak literally being tackled by a ref, LMAO.

Yep, we all have to tolerate Jethro. And he’s not in click with others because he’s in it for himself not the league.

All of Jethro’s revolutionary revenue brilliance was to enable and benefit his agendas and passions. The fact the league benefitted was merely just riding on his coattails or collateral convenience. If he could have just benefited himself he would have.

And he won’t need the leagues assistance in not winning another Super Bowl. He’ll be able to achieve that all on his own. This is of his own doing not anyones else.

But Rozelle didn’t have to deal with Congressional oversight into head trauma and multi billion dollar lawsuits threatening the future and solvency of the league.

Nor did he have to deal with protecting the shield from personal conduct risking the leagues image and potential fallout from networks and sponsors.

Not to mention unlimited free agency , preserving parity with Salary Cap and franchise's looking for greener pastures. There’s been a multitude of issues no other commissioner has encountered.

But the sport has always been about the business . Maybe fans just didn’t want to recognize as such. He’s had to make adjustments to the sport to save the business.

Of course . More conspiracy theory. These owners couldn’t be responsible for their own lack of success this era on the field.

And Washington isn’t only major sports franchise publicly influenced or forced to change their name.

I’d argue if it wasn’t for Goodell being forced to exercise his powers to protect the shield we’d of had particular owners self interest potentially bringing down the league.

And fans hostility is also self serving for their own teams interest not the leagues.

These are very tough and unpopular decisions that have to be made. Decisions that most are unable or unwilling to make.

Fortunately the league owners majority has placed and provided power to someone willing to take on these enormous challenges despite the public scrutiny. And Goodell has delivered.

Yep. And it’s funny and actually very noble how he embraces that criticism and boos. Not all great leaders know how or willing to accept and be humbled by criticism. He rises to the occasion.

He’s really separating himself from the pack and taken the league to new heights while protecting the shield against obstacles of todays society and world.

I’d agree that most fans , at least those from older eras as ourselves , don’t welcome all of the changes to the sport and the surrounding distractions . But I’d argue they’ve been necessary to preserve the sport and it’s overall popularity.

I’m not sure with all of the medical issues with congressional oversight into head trauma that have threatened the leagues existence and solvency bringing on so many rule changes along with public players personal conduct which threatened the leagues image with not only the networks and sponsors but the fringe fans this league attracts to bolster revenue.

The league and its owners needed a representative to help navigate them thru this most challenging era. We may not all like or approve of the final product that’s emerge from these challenges but the alternative may not have been as bright.

Yeah, he’s in it for himself, not the league, unlike all the other owners. Everyone else is noble and blue collar— selfless heroes who value the game and the fans. Hugs and rainbows, not money!

Jerry Jones is an arrogant, greedy, obscenely wealthy attentionwhore who has largely sabotaged the success of this franchise, BUT…I will believe to my dying breath that he’ll always be an outsider. The “inner circle” HAS kept us from one or two Lombardi’s these past 26 years—deny all you want.

I agree with much of what you say, but if you think there’s NOT an inner circle of owners, of which Jerry’s not a part, then you’ve got your head in the sand. You’ll NEVER convince the millions of good Cowboy fans who think they’ve kept us out, so whatever argument you’ll inevitably offer up is pointless. Of course, you’ll carry on until ‘you know who’ joins the fray to “validate” your agenda, so let’s just save some time, and table this, ok?

I said Jethro wasn’t in the click with owners which agrees with that part of your argument

But I wouldn’t say they have prevented us from making anymore Super Bowls .

There’s absolutely no evidence that our lack of success on the field is any other owners fault but our owns.

That’s the most ridiculous and paranoid claim from a fan I think I’ve ever heard. But I suppose is consistent with a conspiracy theory.

Denial. Discomfort for anything not supported by “evidence” satisfactory and beneficial to the small, wealthy demo in control. Predictable. Eye rolling and chuckles all around. Signing off now.

At least we can agree there’s some denial going on here. And the eye rolling. Truly one of the greatest conspiracy theories .

Years ago after I waved my white flag with our dysfunctional ownership I did decide to cash in on their financial juggernaut investing with many of the Cowboys sponsors. But Pappa Johns is one I passed on with no regrets.

He didn’t want to fire Jimmy. That’s BS. Jimmy ran his mouth about wanting to coach in Miami during the Super Bowl run. That’s what started it. He gave Jimmy what he wanted.

EzE got suspended for unsubstantiated claims that occured prior to him being in the league! Total witch hunt.

We have never seen such a suspension since.
