The investigators were told to get a Guilty Verdict no matter the facts

The NFL would rather be wrong and overturned than thought to be easy on DV

That's just it. They're overly worried about appeasing the public, facts-be-damned. They've kept themselves immune to the backlash of being wrong up until now.

But they may have finally went overboard with it and (hopefully) met their match with a player fighting back against this injustice.

Zeke could of likely paid her off and kept her from interviewing with the league. This is not a guarantee but money usually talks. If she didn't go along with the leagues investigation, the league has nothing.

Only reason I can think of why he wouldn't offer a settlement is if he stands behind his innocence or he's cheap.

Careful on the equal rights for men stuff -- women are overwhelmingly treated unfairly in this regard.

That said, this isn't a man vs. woman issue. Harassment is harassment.

Any claims of lower pay don't hold up in this decade. When Women leaving work to have kids is accurately considered in that calculation, then the often cited stats don't hold water. To make it easy they looked at stats for women that didn't have kids and compared them to men in terms of income. IIRC they did it with people in the age range around 30 to eliminate people who started their careers in the seventies when there was a discrepancy in wages. They also made certain to eliminate careers like Profession Athletes what would obviously skew the stats. The results showed it to be very even in most white collar professions. Obviously, men made more as Firemen and in those types of male dominated careers.

The Greg Hardy thing stuck but I think this is different because Zeke is firmly entrenched in the locker room. These guys are more willing to fight for him.

My mom told me the way things worked and to always protect myself from certain situations. The same message is being passed down to my son from my wife. I have always considered it common knowledge that our society is pro female. I hope I don't offend anyone with this comment.

Screw paying her off. She can't be trusted with a pay off. She would likely report it as proof that Zeke is guilty.

We're not talking about custody cases. And those cases are wins for women generally because most men either have not shown the propensity to be a full-time custodian of their children or simply don't show up.

I'm not going to sit here and make this a thread of dumping on women. Nobody needs to do that here in order to leap to Zeke's defense -- there is enough seemingly objective evidence to hold an opinion about Zeke's culpability without throwing women under the bus en masse.

This can also be any of us....all someone has to do is SAY you did something and your life can be turned upside down whether there's any truth to it or not.

Our society has gone from innocent until proven guilty to guilty until proven innocent.
