I haven't heard or read anything.

I don't care what you hear or don't hear. You said you heard me say something I never did.

Gibbs still had his starters in there because ;

A) If he puts his backups in, there is no guarantee BB would do the same.

Who gives a snot if he does or he doesn't? You have already been humiliated, at least get your 'best' players off the field.

If he starts throwing on scrubs with his 1st string then he truly is as contemptible as you say. But chances are he wouldn't.

It is classless. The majority of the players in the NFL most likely think so. Otherwise, there wouldn't be such a bruhaha concerning it.

I don't understand why anyone is trying to defend the "classless" label as being wrong. They can run up the score all they want. It doesn't make it any less classless. That's why it's called "running up the score."

Well getting behind 50-0 should be an alarm bell.

And Gibbs was doing onside kicks and going deep late. Game on -

Teams need to stop Pats and this won't happen.

One player spoke out about it, and now it's the majority of NFL Players?

If I were a Commander, Belichick running up the score would be the least of my concerns. Actually, I would be thankfull that he didn't hang a 100 up on me ... he probably could have if he wanted to.

OMG. I said "running up the score" is considered classless, and the majority of NFL players probably think so. I didn't say "one player spoke about it, therefore most players said so".

Read people.

That shouldn't surprise you. Most will never come out and say it. You will have one or a few that will come out and say something but most will keep quiet. Even Gibbs didn't even want to come out and say it. But you saw his face when they scored that 45th point. You can tell he was mad. The players probably felt the same way.

I have no problem with the way they got their last touchdown. It's the 2nd to last touchdown that is questionable imo. What's the point? You are already beating them badly. You're up 38-0 on them in the 4th or at the very end of the 3rd. They are not going to come back. If they couldn't score a point in 45 minutes, what makes the Patriots think they will score 38 in 15. I hate the Skins as much as the next Cowboy fan but the way they scored on that possession throwing long bombs and going for it on 4th and 2 well into fg range when up 38-0 in the 4th is unnecessary.

From reading your last 3-4 posts, that is the only argument you have. Try something new.

Exactly.

You want the dogs called off, muzzle your own. End of story.

\.

Gibbs did call off his dogs. Somewhere around the 14:43 mark in the 1st quarter.

Belichick is absolutely right. If you don't want a team to run up the score on you then stop them from scoring, it's that simple.

If you simply can't get it done then take your beating like the wimps you are and move on.

I've been on both sides of a serious beating in sports and you just deal with it and move on. Whining about it won't help in the least. Coming out next time determined to stomp someone is the only thing you can do about it.
:hammer:

Sheesh, football is a sport, not WAR. Nothing wrong with abiding by the long-standing unwritten rules that allow your opponent to escape with a little bit of dignity...

The pats could have put there second string in on Offense and kept the 1st string D in to control the skins. When I played HS ball when we were up by 28 or more we never threw another pass and only ran between the tackles. Running up the score with your starters when up by 38 is pretty bush league, I wouldn't be so mad if it was the second stringers, hey they need playing time and face time fore jobs also. If your 1st team can't stop their 2nd team oh well.

Eh. The running up the score thing doesn't bother me. The diving at the knees of opposing players and late hits bother me.

I hope we'll meet them again. I really do. Not just because it will mean that we're in a Super Bowl, but because we have a team of good guys who not only deserve to be there, but I think we can administer a little bit of karma next time around.

Maybe I'm just bitter. :)

All these people that are trying to turn the Pats classlessness around on the Skins baffle me. Yeah, Gibbs had his offense out there trying to score. What do you want him to do? Kneel on the ball three times and punt? You don't give up. Even if you're down by 100 having the self respect to keep fighting is something I will always respect in any team I watch. Even the skins.

I hope we can see them again, definitely.

Must have attended the Patrick Crayton School for talking major smack after you just got your behind handed to you.

Uh, you didn't get it done the first time. What makes you think the rematch is going to be any better?

If the Skins had knealt down three times and punted, the Cheats would have put their 1st team back out there to throw for another TD.

Only problem with that theory was the Pats were way beyond classless prior to that point of the game. They were throwing 30 yard bombs down the field when it was 38-0 in the 4th quarter. Every other team in the league would of ran the ball 3 times there or at least ran a few times then went for the first down. There was no point in throwing deep other then to rack up stats and disrespect your opponent at that point in the game.

Actually, I think I was agreeing with you Dooms. I was saying that even if the Skins had given up, the Cheats would have kept scoring.
