Pick Buehler's PK USC profile *Merged*

Our first pick in the sixth should go for guy at Cumberland State.

He's the best holder, never drops one ...

someone suggested in the chat room room that or said that the kicker we drafted today has long snapped too;

They were just joking.

well the roof will be closed a lot of times in the new stadium-so he can kick it hard and it will be a touchback-guaranteed.

Jairus Byrd is looong gone.

I think he is talking about Demetrius Byrd who is in the ICU right now hoping he can walk without pain after he leaves the hospital.

meh, it was a freebie anways, I know all 11 picks aren't going to make the team, no matter who we picked

So your not going to give a chance for the pick to succeed? Your going to give up and toss away picks like they grow on trees? You got a bunch of talented guys that actually play football and yet....

I forgot about that..he was the first person that came to mind.

Waste of pick. He'll be gone after the team realizes it wants to keep an extra receiver or corner. I understand the draft is weak, but at least draft a guy who has a chance

If you can save 5-10 yards of field position per kickoff, think of how much of an advantage that is during the course of the year.

Remember the Arizona game? STs cost us that game. Kick off coverage, Punt STs, etc.

EDIT: Goose on now and also loves the pick.

no, I think Buehler is here to be the KO guy, but if Folk beats him out for the job, no big deal if we cut Buehler

We may have to trade up for that one. I hear the Patriots loved him.

Goose just said this was a good pick. Called him the best kickoff kicker in the draft. In August someone will need a kicker and we will have two.

WASTEEEEEE. Nick can kick off too!!

Gosselin actually said the Bueller pick was a good one. Said he'll help field position a lot, and we might even trade him if someone's kicker gets hurt late in camp. Thinks someone *will* offer something for him.

And he likes Hamlin.

Said we've done a pretty good job today and have gotten good values.

He sounded like he'd rather have a root canal than say that, but he did say it.

That's a nice try but Nick Folk kicks 55 yrd FG in his sleep and the only reason he didn't get touchbacks was because Read was a ******* and told him to kick it to the side instead of straight.

If you actually believe the only reason Folk didn't get touchbacks was because he was told not to, then you are a dufus...but I don't believe you really believe that.

It was well known that Folk struggled with kickoffs...even when he tried to kick directionally, he often miss hit the ball and put a few out of bounds.

Mark my word...we'll keep both, and the new kid will handle all the kickoffs. It's been done before in the NFL, and it will help our defense tremendously.

I just watched that video of him in another thread....the guy is a little bit bigger than quite a few guys on his team...and we are talking about USC here.....very strong leg as well. If he can be accurate in the pre-season, Buh-bye Folk...unless they keep both which would be unusual.

LOL.

Did you just seriously say that?

A late round draft pick is going to replace our Pro Bowl young kicker who is MONEY on clutch kicks?

Wow.

The internet is a dangerous place.

The one thing I haven't seen in this thread is that in his NFL.com bio, he not only worked out at USC with the fullbacks(which has been mentioned) but also with the safeties. I'm not sure how that translates exactly at the NFL level. He definitely seems to have a lot of versatility.

I wonder if we will open the roof in a bad weather game when the other team is trying a game winning FG...that would be funny...Wade calls a time out and then the roof opens up letting in all the wind and rain.

Think we'll get a 3rd from him then? Because that's the only thing that will justify this pick. Maybe we can become a kicker factory and just churn them out.
