Wow such an old man at 36. I don't know how his body makes it.......

You might if you had had as many serious injuries as he had by that age. These guys are retiring in their early to mid 30s now, if you haven't noticed. These aren't the guys in the next cubicle over from you or I when it comes to this. They've measured big NFL hits having the same impact as a serious car crash. I know people in their 20s that have had just one of those (some in battle) that have trouble walking, much less playing NFL QB.

Ok, whatever you say.

You sound like an expert based on one play

I'm not an expert but I think it is obvious for everyone to see. If you look the video the defender closes so fast on Romo it looks as if he's standing still. I don't want Romo to risk his future health unnecessarily. He has a lot of life in front of him which he deserves to enjoy with his family. If we need him due to injury or poor play that is another issue altogether, but thankfully that isn't the case.

And Tony should be. I'm not doubting that at all. But, so many people are trying to find fault in Daks game. Tony was not a perfect QB. YES...he is a better passer than Dak at this stage. But, compare Tony's stats his first year playing to Daks. Both are good. Both are on OUR team. And you just don't mess with chemistry.

Why compare early career Tony to Dak? Early career Tony isn't on this team so what he could and couldn't do is irrelevant. I am not, in any way knocking Dak. My opinion is that right now, or at least once he is healthy, Tony is a better player/quarterback than Dak and would make this team better. That's just my opinion.

Ok. But, at this time, it's time to move on from Romo. Let the process work in developing Dak. He has so much upside. He needs to work on footwork, but he'll get better with experience. And if he can get better while we're winning in the process...it's a win-win. As for Romo, I like him, but I don't know if he makes this team better or not. Maybe he would. Maybe he wouldn't. When he came back from injury last year against Carolina, he didn't look good. So, who knows. And we shouldn't mess with team chemistry if we don't have to.

The Pats were 3-1 with Tom Brady serving his suspension and they brought him back and he improved his team. I think Romo would improve the Cowboys in the same way. He is a better player/qb right now.

I agree that Dak will get better, I just think he would be well served watching a pro bowl qb.

How do you even know at this point? Romo hasn't looked "great" in almost 700 days now.

He was a NFL QB in OT and grew up a bunch in a hurry.

What I do predict is that the FIRST Time he has a bad game and we lose, this forum will be full of poster who are ready to cut him, bench him, disown him, etc.

Heck that happened in the first half of the Eagles game.

Well, you can't compare Romo to Brady. And who knows if Romo will stay healthy enough for Dak to learn from. Honestly.....I think some people just can't either seem to get Romo out of their heads. Or, hate the fact that Dak fell into the perfect situation.

He was 3-1 as a starter last year. He was bad against Carolina but he was not healthy and rushed back to try and salvage the season.

And the same is even more likely to happen again now. 2014 Romo is gone forever. Let it go. We don't have a D to prop us up while he wastes time knocking off rust. If he's truly a leader, he publicly steps aside soon and takes the clipboard unless there's an emergency going forward.

Yeah, unless he thinks maybe he's a better QB than Dak. Then a leader would, you know, step up and take the football rather than step aside and take the clipboard.

Why can't I compare the situations? Is Romo Brady? No but is Dak Romo? No.

I love the fact that Dak is here in this situation and have never suggested otherwise. I just think Romo would be better. How is that a knock on Dak?

...And has reason to believe this.

Should Peyton Manning have taken a back seat to Osweiler last year? That's just a stupid argument.

That would just make him a selfish fool. Big difference.
