Balance was almost same number of run plays and TOP. Mac knows Defense cant be exhausted and get short passing and run sledging to keep the offense going ( even settles for FGs , instead of pushing for TDs - conservative ball control offense ) to keep Defense fresh and aggressive , basically improve winning percentageDak threw 38 times. How is that more balanced than what Moore called?
Must... resist... making... dwarf tree joke...You’re seeing the difference between a coach with an actual resume and an OC with only Jerry as his coaching tree. That experience is important and it’s a factor here.
For me, it’s not even just the lack of turnovers. It’s the footwork and mental clock in his head. This is what tailoring the offense and game plan for Dak looks like. Zero turnovers so far.
Like Charlie Browns Christmas tree.Must... resist... making... dwarf tree joke...
Oh. That's better.Like Charlie Browns Christmas tree.
I think it’s been wonderful so far. The OL is making the adjustments based on the defence and the calls are coming in faster so the team can get to the line and deliver at a better tempo. Can’t wait to see what Tyler Smith brings to the line when healthy. This is what tailoring the offense and game plan for Dak looks like. Zero turnovers so far.
And Deuce, Luepke, Dowdle, Schoonmaker, ect.....ect.....And using Turpin appropriately
Don't forget, with linebackers and corners sitting on the routes.
Well put.McCarthy is attacking the areas of the field that Moore ignored for years with big results.
Yes sir, it does. TOP. We are possessing the ball for large chunks of time. Driving down the field reminiscent of Emmit and Troy. This is how you win super bowls.I’m kinda underwhelmed to be honest. Offense definitely is not clicking on all 12 cylinders that I can tell. Dak high % in completions but does anything really stand out? Weird game imo…
Yep and no need to force anything, just punt it and let the defense scoreFor me, it’s not even just the lack of turnovers. It’s the footwork and mental clock in his head.
It’s get the ball, take your steps and make your read. Nothing is there dump it off
I don't know if the play-calls were bad, though. Dak had two players open on his missed throw to Ferguson in the end zone, and Hendershot would have likely scored if he would have turned his run in instead of trying to take it wide. Maybe the fault with that one was handing it to Hendershot.Red zone O was terrible but MM is light years ahead of Kellen in managing a game and playing complimentary football
