Some folks don't like it but if we take Adoree Jackson I can really see Jerry/Stephen selling the pick as being multi-beneficial in terms of impacting special teams, defense and offense (Lucky's role?).

With the interest in Samuel as well, they clearly are looking to improve the return game, so Adoree would definitely address that.

That's really the basis of my comment too.

Premise 1: Jerry loves the splash player (i.e. playmakers)
Premise 2: Jerry (and Co.) know they need help on the defensive side of the ball (namely at DB and DE)

Drafting Adoree' would presumably allow Jerry to kill two birds with one stone; instant play-making splash as a returner (which we woefully lack); defensive back that can contribute immediately and be groomed to fill a starting spot in the near future; and a guy that take over Lucky's gadget role in the offense.

I'm not saying Adoree' would be the right pick, but just saying I can totally hear Jerry explaining away the rationale behind taking him if we do in the 1st round.

Good thing I see, is it looks like we will have plenty of choices at # 28. Guess the Dallas talking heads will help us whittle it down over these last 2 weeks, but our choices seem to be - Stay where we are and there should be a number of corners and DE's to choose from. Conley and King would be my top 2. Takk or Taco from the DE's.
Trade down a bit - if we can find a willing partner.
If we took one of the corners first, I would be sweating getting a decent DE like Basham in the second.
I think we will have good options in the first two rounds, whichever order they take. And from there it's all about McClay , and his board.

The SEC is a football conference that is purported to be the toughest and most talented in college football. So the inference is that Barnett performed against the best talent against the toughest opponents and produced in comparison to Garrett.

They have converted a few players around, like Parnell from DT to OT and Showers from QB to S.

But to compare them to a team like the Seahawks, it is a stretch. They are taking track players and signing them to get the kind of athletes they want to work with.

The most memorable meeting of this draft process for Watt has been his "surreal" trip down to The Star in Frisco, where he met with Cowboys brass, including owner Jerry Jones owner, who made quite an exit from the meeting.

"Halfway through the conversation (with Jerry Jones), I had to pinch myself almost just to know the conversation was actually happening. It was kind of a surreal moment," Watt said. "Then to see him fly away in his helicopter afterwards was also a really cool moment."
