Deion Sanders does not need the Dallas Cowboys. Get over it. No one cares you’re sick. And no one here cares about the Commanders and Eagles. Irvin, you can afford a professional hair stylist. Part with a few dollars. And stop saying “we” in deference to the Cowboys. You are not a member of the Dallas Cowboys organization. How the hell does Caitlin Clark get in the conversation?

Irvin will always be a part of the Dallas Cowboys. He left his heart on the field and was the soul of the last squad that actually accomplished something.

His opinion is always welcome because he’s always given a damn.

To be honest your post comes across as spiteful. Don’t know what you have against Irvin but you’re in the wrong place.

How much more do you need to determine Jerry has been the issue for 30 years counting.......Tony Romo and now Dak have been victims of this mess, and the other good players that wore the uniform.
I'm just so sorry for the younger board members who've never witness this team hoisting the trophy.......oops.......playing in the NFC championship game.

One of the executive management team members that may be overhyped could be McClay. Exactly how many players that are sustainable difference makers have we drafted or acquired over the last several years? Less than a handful! The best teams have the ability to draft players no matter what selection position, in, early or later rounds,. They also shrewdly and aggressively acquire free agents while deftly managing their salary cap situation.

This is the dumbest response to a post that I have ever read on this board. First, I’m sure someone cares that he’s sick. Second, plenty of people on this board care that the Commanders and Eagles are a better run organization than the Cowboys, so miss me with that too. Third, and finally, if you think that Irvin is not a member of the Dallas Cowboys organization then you are as delusional as your response sounds. And just why are you cursing at the age of 13?

There are some people on here that have an attitude that I could never get behind of. They think that once someone is no longer on the roster that they are no longer a Cowboy, and then a subset of those people stop caring for that player. To me, if you were memorable while playing for this organization, you will always be a Dallas Cowboy. Heck, George Teaque will always be loved as a Cowboy just for putting the hit on TO. ;)

Deion would not have been the answer if the goal was winning. He would’ve made the product enjoyable though. Better bad and entertaining than mediocre and boring.

Deion has drastically improved every situation he has ever coached at. So to say Deion wouldn't have been the answer is totally incorrect.

Deion would have held players accountable in ways we haven't seen in this franchise since Parcells left.

As The Playmaker reported, we need to get back the glory, referring to the glory days of yesteryear when the Cowboys had an elite offense, a powerhouse.

1. QB, 1st player in 1989 draft in Aikman
2. Michael Irvin, high 1st round pick in 1988
3. Emmitt Smith, superstar RB, a consistent home run hitter, drafted in 1st round 1990
4. Alvin Harper, WR 1st round pick 1991
5. Darryl Johnston, FB, 2nd round pick 1989
6. Jay Novacek, TE, best free agent pick up
7. Kelvin Martin, 3rd receiver who always seemed to find an opening

-- The 2024 Cowboys had an overrated, over-paid QB who does not have "it."
-- A star WR in Cee Dee Lamb
-- A good undrafted RB, a single hitter in Dowdle and no home run hitter, as the team ignored the need for a star RB
-- Unreliable 2nd wide receiver
-- A Hunter Luepke whom we rarely saw with the ball
-- An underperforming 3rd year TE, who was not getting open, not getting separation like Novacek.
-- Unreliable 2nd and 3rd wide receivers

Irvin misses facts that his team had superstars on offense, everywhere. The talent differential from his glory days' teams and this team is enormous and no coaching can overcome the lack of talent.

This team needs an explosive RB and at least one receiver who can come in as a rookie and get open. Gallop and T Williams did that as rooks. Tolbert has been a big disappointment, even past his rookie year. I have no problem drafting RB, WR in 1st two rounds, but both must be explosive players. Ashton Jeanty would be a rocket engine for the offense.

Also, another point must be made: Jimmy Johnson brought in free agents and made trades to make the team better. The following starting players on the 1992 championship team were not drafted by the Cowboys: DE Haley, DT Casillas, FS: T. Everrett, SS James Washington, G John Gesek, TE Novacek. Mark Tuinei the LOT and guard Nate Newton were free agent signees by Tom Landry.

Now, the team must do better with 2nd round picks. Need immediate contributors, who are healthy, free of drug history, big-game performers, no projects. Plug and play.

He will always be a member of the Dallas Cowboys. What type of nonsense is that? Get outta here with that.

This, should care about Washington and the egirls because they both are doing something that the boys haven’t done since 96 (and 1 team has been in 2 SB since us) and only going to get better and one looks like they have the best QB in the NFCE) and both will only get better with drafts and FA, while we are still farting around with the Clampetts leading us into a black hole all because Jed wants to do it his way before leaving this earth, so he can finally say, I won it all without Jimmy, told you so.

Obviously you never watched him play …. I’ve never seen a player play with more heart than him… he is exactly right … the players are not held accountable and not to the same standards as when he played. If you don’t know … you don’t know
Lol,
Yeah, except when it came to tackling RBs coming at him!

He needs to put down the coke....JJ took care of him and now he's throwing darts, trying to get a few clicks. I get their frustration, but some of these former players coming out against their team is disappointing. Instead of giving fans something positive, they join the rest of the mediots. Irvin has a checkered past, Jerry could have blacklisted him....Instead he's always supported him and welcomed him to the Star.....88 showing his true colors.

It is about time the former players call it like we’ve all seen it.

Fans and former players in good standing are different....I understand criticism, but acts like this? He's just trying to stay relative after pissing away a good gig.
