Regardless if Dallas gets Pacman or not I'm still a fan but having said that I don't want that thug on the team the man has not shown no change in his behavior and I would not want to count on him when the chips are down. I know to some fans they don't care what so ever about having criminals on the team but many of the fans do. I think Dallas can do better than PacMan, he is good but he is not that good.

I'm not saying I agree with what Pac man has done...But you know what He had His punishment and now it's time to prove his worth. Cowboys can get him for cheap and get more talented on the SEcondary. If it doesnt work then oh well, see ya later LOSer. if it does then say hello to a much more talented team..Much more talented. PAC, NEWMAn, HEnry .................ROy willias( J/K)

On SportsCenter today, John Clayton was asked which team should we be watching for to surprise everyone. He mentioned Dallas for this reason:
Jerry is interested in Pac-man Jones because he feels he can get a Pro-Bowl talent on the cheap.

I pray this is not true. There is a big reason this player is on the cheap. He's a punk, thug, who's head never left the Hood. He got ticked by a bouncer who stopped him while he was using a stripper's head for a basketball because she started picking up her tip before Pacrat told her to. Aaron Cudworth, a martial artist, got into a scuffle with some of Rat's entourage'. After Cudworth escorted him & his pack of rats out of the Vegas strip club, one of his gangstas started shooting at the place, hitting Cudworth, security guard Tom Urbanski, and a female employee. Just minutes before, Jones had threatened to kill Cudworth. Of course, afterwords, Jones denied knowing the shooter, even though video cameras at the club clearly identified him as one of Jone's associates.

Urbanski was the only one critically injured, with a bullet severing his spinal cord and paralyzing him below the waist. He ended up a paraplegic. This was a husband, father, son, & brother who lost his livelihood and really, his life, because a rich thug didn't like getting embarassed in front of his punk-a** friends.....and we are thinking about employing this scum?? It hasn't been proven yet, but the Las Vegas police dept. have only one suspect in this crime....guess who.

So far, here is the rap sheet on Jones:

involved in a fight at an atlanta strip joint the same month he was drafted

popped for pot in a hotel room 2 months later - his buddies took the call

1 month later he's busted for a fight in a nashville bar

april 2006 his caddie was involved in drug dealing

3 days later he's questioned about a shooting

in august he's popped for public intoxication and disorderly

again in august he's ticketed for spitting in a person's face

and now the vegas connection - goodell's gonna have nightmares.

It was bad enough when they brought in Tank Johnson. Bringing in Jones or his like is going way too far.

Count me out of the Cowboy's fan club if that day ever comes.

lol you don't wanna be a fan anymore? later, hop off the bandwagon

Only problem with that should he get in trouble in the middle of the season we are screwed in trying to find last min. replacement. He is not worth it and as far as his punishment he has been getting into trouble since before Tenn drafted him. They knew the guy could not stay out of trouble but gave him a chance anyways and he screwed them as he always does. The guy is a thug pure and simple

That's why, even if Pacman is signed, you continue to look for a CB or two in the draft. Treat Pacman as a luxury, not as a cornerstone.

Tht's why you follow through and draft a first round cornerback no matter what happens with the Pacman situation. That's the point people seem to be struggling with. You don't put yourself in a position where you're relying on Jones to stay out of trouble.

Tennessee was the team on the hook to Pacman money-wise, they used the 6th overall pick on him and paid him big bucks up front. Dallas would not be in that same position.

I agree with that however I still would not want this thug on the team. I do think image matters when it comes to a guy with Pacmans background and his unwillingness to change. Hell the day before he was to meet with Goodell the guy is out hanging with his buddies at a strip club. The league when they had a chance to reduce the punishment refused to do so because again he has shown no ounce of change. I can only speak for myself but in my opinion I don't want him here. Others disagree I understand their argument but it does not change my view on this thug.

I can definitely see your point of view on this move and couldn't blame anyone who wanted no part of the guy.

I don't understand people who say "if we get this certain player or this certain coach" I'm not gonna be fan anymore...

Personally, I could careless if Jerrah signed Charlie Manson and I would just want to know if he can cover or not....

I agree: If every Cowboy fan did that every time a player or coach comes along that he or she dislikes, there would be no fan base left.

TAKE THIS TO THE BANK: If the Titans release him, Pac-Man will wear the star.
If that does not suit some fans, then I suggest some other team that has 100% holier than thou players.

Football is not often pretty. Often we see thugs playing. But that is just the way it is.

Man, what are you guys so worried about? You would think you are having to pay his salary or something? You are acting as if he is coming over to take your daughter on a date? :lmao2:

This is Football, who cares what the punk does off the field.
Can he cover? YES
Can return kicks and punts? YES
Does he have the potential to do these at a pro-bowl level? YES
Is he going to cost alot of money or picks to bring in? NO
Will he be brought in on a very short leash with a lot of conditions? YES

So what is the big problem????
If we can get him then get him, I dont see any risk here..

Yeah....cheering for the Cowboys to win.....is really goin to influence my kids about life......

Man....where were all of you when Irvin was doin his shenanigans?

I dont get it....im more worried about having the Cowboys overpaying for him and what kind of effect it will have on the locker room....

but if he Pacman comes cheap .....its a no brainer....especially here ...where we need a CB and a better PR.

Maybe they're saying that people deserve the chance to change?

Maybe they're saying that no life should be forfeit.

And maybe they're simply investigating what could be a smart business move?

Give the sanctimonious speeches to Michael Irvin, he was no choirboy either. But he was given a second (and third!) chance.

If you don't like the move, you can move to Washington and root for the Commanders.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but lay off telling everyone else what to think.

None of those players, with the exception of Tank, had run-ins with the law, if I'm not mistaken.

And, with all due respect, I think you miss the point.

Most of us won't stop being Cowboys fans or cheering them on because Pac Man scores on an INT.

We just prefer to win with the least amount of distractions as possible. Pac Man is a distraction. And distractions can hurt a franchise in ways we can't always measure.

Or, look at it this way. Some of the same fans talking about only winning matters so we should bring any thug of the street to help us win a Super Bowl will be the same fans moaning and complaining incessantly because the media (or mediots as is the term around here) are constantly pounding this team with negative publicity.

The media, this. The media, that. Blah. Blah. Blah.

We say we don't care what the media thinks. But Jerry does. And so do the marketing people at Valley Ranch. And so do the fan base.

And you're hedging your bets that Pac Man is that one player who will help us win a Super Bowl, along with hedging your bets that he won't have another strip club episode and bring further shame upon himself and this organization.

If this signing happens, I'll still be a Cowboys fan. The Cowboys are bigger than any one player. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Great post. I agree on many of your points.
And, like you, many will not like Pac-Man being here, but the Cowboys ARE (like you said) bigger than any one player.

I trust you will cheer along with the rest of us when and if Pac-Man intercepts the ball or returns one for a TD.
