Why would Dak have to assault or force himself on anyone? He probably had like 20 to choose from, like every other young NFL player that night would. Believe all women?? Why did it take 7 years for her to say something? Garbage...
Dak Prescott should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. That said, it is a myth that men with attractive physical attributes, wealth or both do not commit sexual assault. It is never what anyone sees on the outside or what is in someone's bank account but rather an individual's mindset that provokes or prevents someone from taking action.

That's what I don't think folks understand. It's a different world for these people and their money and fame. Not taking anything away from women and how we should seriously deal with these types of accusations but it is a completely different world for these people than our world.

$5 million is chump change for a veteran NFL QB, and it might be worth more than dealing with all the negative publicity, time spent, distraction from games, etc... There are already going to be people who see this headline and give it the same weight as a real rape case, which it isn't, so an athlete like Dak who makes so much from advertising is in trouble regardless. Her lawyer knows all this and are banking on it. Just that they had sex in the car is enough for the lawyer to play with. It's either very brave or very stupid of Dak to counter-sue because it just gets more attention, even if he is innocent.
I completely understand why Dak would counter sue....if he's truly innocent here. Would it stay out of the public if he paid her off? Most likely. Does that catch the eye of every single lawyer with poor ethics that wants to make some quick cash? Absolutely. If he doesn't take a stand he would likely see more females from his past coming out of the woods to try and get a piece of the pie.

If this is just an attempted cash grab by this girl I respect the h*ll out of Dak for standing his ground. If he is found guilty though or if there is even a gray area things could go south for him very quick. I look at the Trevor Bauer incident from a couple years ago. Not that I think he is squeaky clean in that case, but never found guilty by a court and is still being shunned from baseball because of a he said she said that has some gray area evidence. Dak better be sure that there isn't any questionable texts or videos from that night.

So for the first question it actually is not that uncommon. Again I am not saying this is Dak but people who are always told yes can often not react well when told no. The idea that they cannot have something can make them want it all the more.

No, the woman should be presumed to be telling the truth until proven otherwise. If she can't pass a polygraph then we can presume Dak's innocence.

There is zero reason to not allow both. Prescott can be presumed innocent. The alleged victim can be presumed to be telling the truth. Neither cancel the other out.

The court is the deciding factor. Even then, an appeals process can reverse a lower court's decision in favor of either party.

"The investigation is a result of a complaint filed Wednesday by a woman who alleges Prescott assaulted her in the back of an SUV seven years ago…."

I understand that due process should take place but if the SUV was fully electric and eco-compliant I would feel alot better about the whole thing......perhaps suing the SUV manufacturer will be an option if its using non sustainable energy sources
That would be winner in court, non compliant SUVs are the root of all evil,,, and yet everybody owns one!

Starting to feel sympathy for Dak, apparently being young, rich and famous ain't all cake and ice cream.

You really just never know though. A professional athlete that gets women thrown at him all the time can get bored of the low hanging fruit. Plenty to be skeptical about in this case, but you get a testosterone driven guy in his early 20s with money and fame into a strip club and all possibilities should be on the table.

Bingo. Way too early to put judgement on either party. Lets see what happens in the coming weeks & months as currently we have probably 1% of the actual story.

I think it’s weird that Dak went from having no idea who she was to saying it was consensual.

Thats not a good look to change your story like that.
If he hasnt heard or spoke to her in 7 years, it is understandable to say , i dont know who that person is. I know I coached softball for 20 years. I met a lot of people and I would say nope, I dont know that person. Then, someone may remind me of some event with said person and then bam... oh, oh yea I remember them.

Im not making excuses... just saying I could see how it could happen.

The 7 years ago angle means very little really.

The 70s Show guy just 25 years for things he did 20 years ago.
That guy had the whole Scientology church covering for him and silencing multiple women. Apples and oranges. Now if all of the sudden 3 or 4 women start popping up on Dak or if evidence comes to light that the Cowboys covered for him, I can see it getting really really ugly just like it did for Masterson. But 7 years, one random woman? That dog won't hunt.

Did that letter arrive right before the Packers game? Is that why dude was so off his game? Did this gold digger kill our playoff chances?
Didn’t something similar happen before the Panthers playoff game several years ago?

That's what Derek Jeter did. Contract and signed baseball on the nightstand
Jeter was darn smart. Any party at his place, all guests had to turn over their cell phons. He knew that he was under a microscope as the SS of the NY Yankees. He protected that image. It is a shame a 25 year okd with money cant enjoy being 25 with money for fear of every person they come into contact with trying to get into his pockets.

If I am Michael Irvin, I would never stop and talk to fans after what happened to him.

Here's the deal. A woman gave Dak a little something in the back of an SUV, a spur of the moment passion thing. He never called and she's been stewing about it for years. Someone told her she could make bank, or she finally went over the edge of crazy. Happens all the time.

I’m not picking a side on this one.

This is one that’s best to just let everything play out.

Hopefully the truth will win the day.
