Let's be honest, if Pollard didn't sign the tag there would be multiple pages about the "cheap" Cowboys not paying Pollard when all the other RB's are "scrubs". The tag is only about $1 million over expected market value so it's not like the Cowboys are crippled by this. In fact once they get Zeke's money after June 1 Pollard will be here basically for free.

At least Pollard made it look good.

Schultz couldn’t sign that thing fast enough.

10m is too much but it’s better than giving him a long term deal with dead money in the end….and we aren’t ready to lose him.

They just need to replace him either with the upcoming draft or the next one, as I am sure they are aware. Sort of.

Austin Ekeler is awesome and even he's in a contract dispute! Pollard is lucky to sign this deal.

hahaha, sure not like he was going to get some $$ and not like we can let him go, it isn't your money anyway so who cares
But yet the same ones saying Pollard is worth $10 mil are the same ones sayong Zeke was not wortha high contract either. It wasn’t their money but they seemed To care a lot about that. Now they don’t?
This was before his 2 injury filled seasoned reducing his effectiveness along with an idiot OC.

Feel like pollard had leverage here and the tag would have not been rescinded. We can’t roll into the season with Ronald, Rico, and Malik. Also would have forced our hand to take a rb high which I hope we do not do
Similar to last offseason with Schultz.
After Cooper was traded, and Gallup recovering from ACL injury, the Cowboys were not going to start 2022 with a TE group that was made up of a 2nd year UFDA and two rookies - one a 4th rounder, and the other another UDFA.

Should have rescinded it - no one’s paying him more than 5/6 million.
Nope, they have a full roster with the other 4 backs that they have now and have Pollard for 1 year while they see what happens in the draft. They are in great shape. Just an excellent off season any way you slice it.

Yeah, smart. The Cowboys could have pulled the tag now and Pollard would be in a real bad place.

Word is he had to be helped to the table to sign in significant discomfort.

That and they turned one of Zeke's helmets into a jacuzzi for the players.
Now that was on time humor at its best.. I give you a like for making my wife ask what the he!! are you laughing at.

Nobody seemed to have a problem tagging Schultz last season.
Pollard is equal to Schultz in the business sense, or nonsense that the Jones' use when applying the tag.

What took him so long? He wasn’t seeing that money anywhere else. Dallas killed a fly with a sledge hammer. The non-exclusive tag would have been more than enough to keep him.
