Possible 10-15 years of .500 football when Dak's gone

Romo never responded in the playoffs any better than Dak which is why we never got any farther with him. At least when we got down by two scores to GB in 2016 Dak rallied us to tie the game late. Our defense lost that game. Anytime we got down by two scores with Romo in the playoffs it led to a blowout. If you put it all on the shoulders of your QB in the playoffs you’re likely going to fail. Even Mahomes failed a few years ago in the SB when it was all put on him.
You mean Aaron Rodgers won that game by making an all-time clutch throw... Again QB... Blame the defense all you want but Aaron Rodgers beat the defense.

Spot on, Dak doesn't make that throw.

We don’t know that for a fact. No QB is going to be the answer with the playoff teams we have. We can’t run the ball, the defense sucks and we commit too many penalties. How is any QB going to overcome that? As for Rush they rallied around him because we were trying to save our season until Dak returned. Our defense played lights out! Our running game was better. Rush didn’t have to do much. He only threw 5 TD passes in 6 games. Our offense fell to 17th with him and we had very little passing game. We won with our kicker and defense. If you think the team will rally around him for a full season and he’ll be the one to get us over the hump you’re kidding yourself.
The issue of running the ball is because the opposing team has said multiple times that they gear themselves to stop the run and force Dak to beat them. This is what players on both the 49ers and the Packers have said. You keep ignoring this point.

No one on earth would have said that. Alex Smith was never thought of as a great QB.
Alex Smith was a pro bowl QB that only won two playoff games in his career just like Dak.
Dak Prescott is Alex Smith.
Every time some Dak jock sniffer says we can't move on from him that's exactly what they are saying.

There is not 1 team out there that is scared to have DAK beat them.

I think they both suck.

Cooper Rush proved all you "If Dak can't do it nobody can" preachers that you're wrong as usual.
Cooper Rush proved if you play great as a team, especially defensively you can hang in with an average QB. Once we got behind and the game fell on Rush he caved along with the team. I haven’t seen many posters more wrong than you. Some of the comments you make about Dak are beyond ridiculous. You claim he sucks and praise other QBs who honestly do suck. lol It doesn’t take much to see the game you play here.

Only our defense would allow that throw with the game on the line. In 2018 we had the game all wrapped up against Seattle and our defense allowed another throw down the field that could have gotten us beat in the final seconds had Seattle scored and converted an onside kick. Our defense sucks in the playoffs.

The only thing Cooper Rush proved to me was that the defense seemed to rally and play harder for him. Wonder why that would be? Maybe I just imagined it.

Our defense sucks! It's amazing they won 12 games and then all of a sudden during crunch time they disappear? How come they did not disappear during the 12 game winning streak? They got tired watching Dak throw the game with his ints and pick six early in the game. Who wants to play hard for a QB that does that? So, I don't blame the defense so much as I do Dak and his thousand yard stare even before the game started. Dak gets mental when the pressure gets to him and they call him a franchise QB?

They played harder for him because they knew they had to. We were limited with him and our defense had to step up or else.

The Cincinnati Bengals abruptly gave up on franchise QB Andy Dalton, whose playoff history did not look dissimilar to Dak’s, and immediately drafted his replacement who led them to back-to-back AFCCG’s and a SB.

The Seahawks moved on from Russell Wilson, and with no franchise QB have had winning seasons both years since.

The Kansas City Chiefs prematurely dumped franchise QB Alex Smith and immediately established Patrick Mahomes as their franchise QB, making it further in the playoffs his first starting year than Smith did.

The Houston Texans moved on from Deshaun Watson, and within two years were in the playoffs with their new franchise QB, even winning a playoff game.

The Atlanta Falcons moved on from their longtime franchise QB after years of playoff disappointments, and within 2 years have rebuilt their offense and signed a new franchise QB to run it.

The Green Bay Packers moved on from Aaron Rodgers, and immediately made as far in the playoffs as Dallas has in 28 years (ironically by beating Dallas). And in the process appear to have their franchise QB.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a winning record every year since Ben Roethlisberger retired, even through the throws of a failed franchise QB.

The Baltimore Ravens moved on from longtime franchise QB Joe Flacco in a cost cutting move, and his replacement won league MVP the very next season.

The Philadelphia Eagles moved on from Carson Wentz the year after 3 straight playoff seasons and were in the SB within 2 years. They also appear to have found their franchise QB.

The San Francisco 49ers benched and ultimately released their franchise QB, only to have a late round pick match his best playoff successes for 1/30th of the cost.

The Los Angeles Rams moved on from Jared Goff, and immediately won the Super Bowl.

Similarly, the Detroit Lions moved on from Matthew Stafford and were in the NFCCG 3 years later for the first time in franchise history.

Not all situations are identical to Dallas’, but they all have a common thread: coming up short in the playoffs is a ceiling they did not accept. It is not about whether or not you get that QB who will get you over the hump; it is about whether or not you have the will to try.
You’re a Philthy fan. Your opinion is worthless.

Is our slow starts on offense because of DAK? or MM? our offense seems to never know how to start a big game....

How many division titles have we won with Rush? Where’s our championship with Rush? What has he done? We released him last summer and no one picked him up and here you are glorifying him.

I dont think it will take that long but as everyone knows, finding a franchise QB is a crapshoot. Luck, really. Its part of the game. Part of the lure, knowing that football not only is a team building sport, its also luck. Like gambling. A+B doesnt always equal C. Sometimes it equals "DOH!"
How long was it between Aikman and Romo?

Hmm. Interesting logic. Why don't they do that all the time? Maybe there's more to the "Shut your ba mouth up!" from Diggs to Dak eh? Why would they not try to bail Dak out too? Might be because of how rich Dak is and they don't think he deserves it. LOL

All teams tend to step up when their starter goes down. Philly certainly did in 2017 when they lost Wentz and Foles took over.
