And you’re one of the guys who place regular season wins against dregs teams a great accomplishment and failure to win in postseason just a side issue when it’s apparent Dak is the choke point for those failures. As for MVP you do know Dak didn’t get one first place vote.
If you don’t win the Super Bowl, you’ve had an unsuccessful season. No ones happy with one and done except you haters ironically.

How many division titles have we won with Rush? Where’s our championship with Rush? What has he done? We released him last summer and no one picked him up and here you are glorifying him.
The guy that wasn't good enough for any other team went 5-1 with the roster that you and 4 of your buddies, including OP, believe Dak is the only guy that can do anything with.

I LOVE Cooper Rush for killing that narrative for you Dakky poo fans.

Let that sink in. Bask in it.

QB’s don’t grow on trees. No matter what you think of Dak, he‘s not the reason for not having much playoff success. He was 2nd in NFL MVP race for a reason. He’s that good. Once he’s gone, it could possibly be years before they break .500. This is no Chicago Bears defense in the making not with massive holes at DT and LB. Mahomes and Brady are generational type players. Picking a QB in the draft is a 50/50 crap shoot AT BEST. So many 1st round busts at that position. Casual fans don’t understand that and want Dak gone NOW. But ask them who’s going to be the QB? They think anyone they draft will be the answer right away. Not likely to happen.

I hope Dak gets extended because I know he gives the team the best chance of winning the Super Bowl. I just hope it’s a team friendly extension. Fix the running game and get a defense that can stop the run and he can easily lead this team to the Super Bowl.
Please Rocky come down off the ledge 10 or 15 years you're getting a little dramatic.

Let's look at it the way it is. DAk is a good quarterback.

He's a top 10 regular season quarterback and a middle of the pack playoff quarterback.

Dak is not a quarterback that is able to overcome all the shortcomings of this team against good teams in the playoffs.
SO HE CAN NO LONGER BE PAID LIKE HE IS ABLE TO DO IT.

HE NEEDS TO ACCEPT BEING PAID FOR WHAT HE IS TRULY CAPABLE OF DOING.

His capability can no longer be miscalculated by garbage statistics against bad teams it must be assessed by what he does when the lights are the brightest.

That said I'm all for keeping him but he must accept a salary that lets us put enough talent around him for him to be successful.

And resetting the market isn't even close in my opinion 35 million would be plenty.

We need at least 25 million in offensive and defensive line help along with a power running game.

Above all and this has nothing to do with DAk a coach that can prepare a team for a playoff game

All teams tend to step up when their starter goes down. Philly certainly did in 2017 when they lost Wentz and Foles took over.
So what DLAW really meant was they were tired of DAK doing the same BS every playoffs.... got it.

There is not 1 team out there that is scared to have DAK beat them.
Well, at least examples of those specific teams, i.e., the ones with good enough run defenses to make it happen. The Bills were another during the regular season. And that’s precisely the point. That’s the difference between Dak and his predecessor. No one to my knowledge said they need to force Romo to beat them, diminishing his value as a thrower. Yes, it’s true that every team tries to stop the run to make it harder on the QB and make them one dimensional. But it’s also true that some QBs can overcome that while others can’t.

Yeah bc this team doesn’t draft well in round 1

Oops

This thread is nothing short of a total embarrassment
Nothing worse than the hundreds of I hate Dak threads. That's the embarrassment.
Just cause you shout it hundreds of times doesn't make any less dumb than it was the first time ...

How long was it between Aikman and Romo? I don’t give up so easily. Dak gives the Cowboys the best chance to win right now. They’ve won 12 games 3 years in a row so aren’t too far away. A strong draft and a key trade here and there to addressing the holes and the Cowboys are right there.

Too bad that roster didn’t maintain their level of play throughout the season. The running game fell off and so did our defense especially our pass rush that had been on record pace to break the all-time sack record. Despite all that our offense became the highest scoring offense in the league after Dak returned.

When your QB comes back throwing INTS at a high enough pace to lead the NFL by seasons in that tends to happen.

Losers will loser.

Sucks that we are stuck with 1 that can't and yet people still want him for another 5-10 years.

Yet you are advocating for 10-15 more years of it.......

Make it make sense, Rocky.
He can't make it make sense because he's as stuck on sticking up for Dak at all costs as you are for trying to get rid of him.

There is a middle ground and that middle ground is pay. Dak what he is worth.
That worth has to be carefully calculated with the amount of money that needs to be invested in putting talent around him so he can succeed.
He has proven conclusively that he cannot succeed with the amount of talent that's around him and we can't add more with him demanding a higher salary.

Someone needs to make him understand this if they have to sit him in a room with the interceptions he threw in the Green Bay game on a loop.

We need more talent around him to succeed and his salary prohibits us from adding that talent.

A well written post and a good argument for keeping Dak. The issue is for most posters who want to move on from Dak is the money and resources the Cowboys have put into Dak over the years and the Cowboys have not had any playoff success. You could make the argument that Dak’s 8 years have been the some of best football the Cowboys have played since the 90’s but it’s worthless because we can’t even make it past the division rounds. I really want to know what type of money is Dak looking for. On one hand he should be looking to break the bank because he is better then Herbert, Lamar, Murray, and Hurts but he also could take a cut so we can keep a good roster around him.

He had to do a lot of throwing with no running game and the defense regressing. He was pressing but he bounced back this past season. You’ll be bashing the next QB we have because nothing will change if all the issues with the team continue.

Weird how everyone started to suck when the loser came back, huh?

You're right.

If the next QB sucks like Dak I will bash him just the same.
