Since Cap Boy is now apparently fully in charge, expect 10-15 years of mediocrity anyway.

If you don’t win the Super Bowl, you’ve had an unsuccessful season. No ones happy with one and done except you haters ironically.
But that’s what you’re peddling to folks unsuccessful seasons with Dak at QB. So you’re not happy and most fans aren’t happy with the failure and unsuccessful seasons and one and done but somehow that translates into “haters” your words, being happy because Dak failed again. You want the narrative changed then Dak needed to do something different not get worse every playoff game. Yet here you are happy to have him choking and stat padding, so you are happy with no success and want to continue with a QB who can’t get it done

Serious question, are you seriously blaming the Jones for Daks poor playoff performances? If so, are you gonna give them credit for Daks regular season performance?
Nope never said that. Serious question, Dallas beats GB and then goes to SF, do you honestly believe Dallas would win in SF? No way in hell. From top to bottom, Dallas gets punched in the mouth by SF.

I'd much rather have a losing record, with hope of a new day, than sitting here with Dak knowing exactly what we're going to get (which is another early playoff exit......assuming we make it there again).

Weird how everyone started to suck when the loser came back, huh?

You're right.

If the next QB sucks like Dak I will bash him just the same.
Maybe you won’t bash the next QB even if they actually suck. This agenda you have could be be some strange Dak obsession. There’s a few here that only seem to show up for one thing.

Everyone was expecting that but too bad the team came out and looked like a bunch of scrubs at home against a young inexperienced Green Bay team. Quite the embarrassment. Especially our 8 year regular season champion QB.

What is this finished second in mvp debate like it matters...

He had ZERO votes not like it was even remotly close. Is this what certain fans have dumbed down to making a point.. my God

Even if he finished first it doesn't matter in the end. He's not that guy and never will be

The problem I have with it is Mike is a good coach and Lance or Rush can probably win you 6-7 games a season with our current team. The problem with that is you’re picking in the top 10 but more like 6-10. Tough to find QB’s that can play there.

How long was it between Aikman and Romo? I don’t give up so easily. Dak gives the Cowboys the best chance to win right now. They’ve won 12 games 3 years in a row so aren’t too far away. A strong draft and a key trade here and there to addressing the holes and the Cowboys are right there.
Rocky I'm with you I don't want to give up on Dak He operates as good as anyone would with our dysfunctional system.

But I fully recognize that he needs a power running game to lean on and he needs a defense that can stop the run.

To do that we need cap space and he needs to give us a friendly deal so that we can give him the talent he needs to succeed.

Honestly it really comes down to if he is greedy the fans will be the losers because Jerry will be spiteful and not put the talent around him he on the other hand will have to protect himself to be able to go to another team and get paid so he will only be able to play about 80% making business decisions and the fans will suffer.

If Dak gets greedy he is not looking at the big picture proof being Dallas cowboy quarterbacks go on to very lucrative TV analyst careers end your career with the Carolina Panthers and go on to be Donovan McNabb

The problem is that the same faulty architects are responsible for building the roster.

As much as the overall roster talent has approved, especially since McClay had more say, the Jones have been awful at finding QBs. The three good ones they have had were all luck.

Aikman - purchased the team with the #1 overall pick and Aikman was the obvious #1 overall choice.

Romo - UDFA who would have been cut in 2004 had Quincy Carter not been released for a failed drug test.

Prescott (which half of you hate anyway) - Was a 4th round pick. The Cowboys tried and failed to get Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook in this draft. Prescott only got to play after injuries to Romo and Kellen Moore, as well as Nick Foles choosing to be a back-up in Kansas City over taking the starting job in Dallas.

So, the guys picking the next QB are the same guys who CHOSE the likes of Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, and tried (and failed) to spend draft capital on Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook.
Cooper Rush was 5-1 with the same roster Dak was playing in….

QB’s don’t grow on trees. No matter what you think of Dak, he‘s not the reason for not having much playoff success. He was 2nd in NFL MVP race for a reason. He’s that good. Once he’s gone, it could possibly be years before they break .500. This is no Chicago Bears defense in the making not with massive holes at DT and LB. Mahomes and Brady are generational type players. Picking a QB in the draft is a 50/50 crap shoot AT BEST. So many 1st round busts at that position. Casual fans don’t understand that and want Dak gone NOW. But ask them who’s going to be the QB? They think anyone they draft will be the answer right away. Not likely to happen.

I hope Dak gets extended because I know he gives the team the best chance of winning the Super Bowl. I just hope it’s a team friendly extension. Fix the running game and get a defense that can stop the run and he can easily lead this team to the Super Bowl.
10-15 years of futility because of Dak being gone is an absolutely insane tank….

Mike McCarthy is a very mediocre playoff coach at best at this point in his career.
Everyone wants to blame our quarterback for that playoff loss it is every bit as much on McCarthy and the coaching staff as that team was one of the worst prepared I'd ever seen. For a home playoff game against an inferior opponent.

Sorry, The Defense won those games for him....according to some here.... But yet that defense decided that once Dak came back they could just relax....

This team isn’t winning a championship with Prescott.

Neither is Lamar. And he plays with a great defense on the other side.

Those two have playoff yips. It’s embedded.

Move on.

Who gives a crap about regular season trophies to only choke in the end.
I guarantee you defenses are more worried about Lamar than Dak….

Ah, so then it was the defense. That defense held the 49ers to 17 and 19…. This defense had no LBs BTW and had an excuse, while Dak didn’t and still sucked it up.

I rest my case.
You actually didn’t, because Rush played in 2002 and won with that defense and Dak completely stunk it up in 2002 and lost with that defense. This year Rush never started and Dak still started and sucked and effectively has to pick 6s in the first half, as one of his INTs was from like 10 yards out and he should have had another one but the LB dropped it.
