you say that outlawing the sport would reduce the criminal element, I say the criminal element has been in it for awhile before the sport actually became a federal crime

legalizing it would.

of course if you criminalize something its going to attract other forms of crime.

im not against it. there is a difference.

we kill cows for breeding purposes but when you do it to a dog its execution.

THEYRE DOGS NOT PEOPLE.

Also stealing other peoples dogs is theft so of course im against that. if they want to buy dogs and feed them to tother dogs i could care less.

we kill cows for food

we dont train cows to rip other cows heads apart, then torture the one's that fail to make the owner money to death

wake up

so the criminal element is going to just go away? ah fuzzy, so naive

they could legalize weed, and there would still be turf wars over it

not every county in America is going to set up places for dog-fighting

repeatedly claiming that Vick was arrested for pot, when he wasn't, makes you look smart? ok

it's a public forum fuzzy, people aren't always going to be at the beginning of every argument, and so what? I missed a tiny bit of a tangent that had nothing to do w/ the original topic

i made a mistake i thought he was arrested at the airport for his smuggling container. i was wrong; big deal. im not sure how that makes me stupid though.

im well aware of that and im not saying your deficient because of it but its readily apparent that you didnt and still to a large point dont know what the argument was.

do they electrocute calfs? do they drown them? do they hang them afterward?

you are coming off as either deranged or incredibly ignorant

I didn't even know that was an argument, I thought it was a continuance of the program argument, I missed it, jeez

did organized crime stop because of the end of prohibition? no

organized crime just found a new outlet to make money during prohibition, that is all

im sure it happens. the funny thing is youre not claiming that the fighting is mean but rather the way in which they cull the animals. and yes certain types of animals are killed by electrocution to preserve their fur. but thats okay huh?

im not deranged or ignorant i just choose not to ignore the other forms of animal abuse that are pervasive throughout society. people just have dosg as pets so they get special treatment. Cows are food so you can do whatever you want to them.

it was significantly reduced. they had to go to other areas. really the argument could be made that if you never had prohibition that there would have never been an organized crime issue period.

they don't square cows against other cows, beat them before and after, then kill them, and just throw away the carcasses

no they just take the babies and scare the crap out of them and chase them on something 4 times as big as them and then tie them up. either that or put something on them that causes them to convulsively kick and freak out.

but again if we were to eat the dogs then it would be okay?

this picking and choosing of utilitarian ethics is nice and all but jeez.

actually, bootlegging was added on, they had a whole bunch of other things, prostitution, rackets, then moved on to drugs

you don't know how organized crime came to be I gather

all it was was a gang of ethical groups who sought one another as a sort of protection against the prejudices that they faced, they were paid **** wages, so they looked to other avenues to make money, and it grew from there, organized crime in America started decades before prohibition, yes it reached it's peak then, but it was around forever, and notice that it's still very much alive today
