Potential FA RBs

Coach Pete Carroll dismissed the idea of undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls pushing Christine Michael for the Seahawks' No. 3 running back job.
Michael appears locked into the job unless he gets traded, but that's purely been Twitter-fueled speculation. Carroll raved about Michael's attention to detail heading into year three, while saying Rawls and fellow UDFA Rod Smith are simply "trying to hang" and "pushing themselves" to try and make the team. We still like Rawls' physicality

Hopefully this will end the thought of CM coming here.

Quarterbacks (3): Nick Foles, Case Keenum, Sean Mannion

Keenum clearly has the edge over Austin Davis, who’s gotten very abbreviated preseason opportunities. He’s been slightly better than Davis as a starter in the NFL and presents more upside behind Nick Foles.

Running Backs (5): Todd Gurley, Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham, Chase Reynolds, Malcolm Brown, Trey Watts*

More dramatic than the roster battle at this position is the battle for depth chart placement, as Cunningham and Mason will be fighting for the reps that remain behind presumptive starter Todd Gurley.

Seahawks RBs coach Sherman Smith said dependability and accountability have been the issues holding back third-year RB Christine Michael.

"It’s about becoming more dependable, doing stuff consistently,’’ Smith said. "That’s always been his Achilles’ heel. The physical talent is there, absolutely no question about that. But we want him to become more dependable and more accountable.’’ Michael fumbled in the preseason opener, but coach Pete Carroll seems overall pleased with C-Mike. Despite rumblings that UDFA Thomas Rawls is pushing him, Michael appears locked in as the No. 3 back.

Another reason to put this CM dream to bed.

Mason isn't going anywhere imo.
