Pass on Dan Quinn, dude fired all his coordinators and took over calling the defense and it sucks even worse.
 
Hopefully Jed Clampett & Jethro see that Jason Garrett is never going to get this team anywhere near close to a Superbowl. So who do you guys want as the Cowboys Head Coach???

1. Pretty clear this is a stealth Garrett defense thread. If you can't name anyone clearly better than Garrett, might as well keep him, right?

2. It would have to be someone who makes Jerry feel comfortable, someone Jerry knows. Campbell, Eberflus, etc. Zimmer would be ideal but might not be available if they keep playing well.

3. I think a lot depends on Dak. How does he finish the year? Does he get that huge contact? He probably will, so watch someone to improve him. Dak loves Kellen so maybe he stays. Dan Mullen might be tempted by huge money or might prefer college.

4. Someone mentioned Shanahan, could that be an option? Any health issues? But Snyder might have been enough meddling owner for one lifetime for him.

5. Back to #1, Garrett is a huge bag of nothing who offers no value except to the media presentation and Jerry's comfort. Anyone even decent coach would be worth a try.

6. Guarantee you Jerry isn't thinking of changing. He's thinking of that 3-5 start and then the playoffs last year and believing that can happen again. Probably already selling it this morning. He won't think of a change until the team is mathematically eliminated.

1. BS. I want him gone after reverting back 8 years in scheme after Moore's motion, RPO, and the like succeeded and never been stopped. There are several candidates I personally find intriguing as has been the case the last couple years.

2. Not necessarily. Jerry has gone both ways and has more people in his ear that he listens to. Oversimplifying to Jerry leaves out a lot of variables that do count.

3. I would hope that any new coach would be included in that decision making process.

4. All owners meddle. Always have.

5. Garrett is great Monday through Saturday. His players train and practice hard thus improving. He is just terrible with scheme and on gamedays.

6. You can guarantee all you want but past history has shown that he is willing to make drastic changes. And of course he didn't extend Garrett leaving him a lame duck. It really doesn't matter as long as Garrett is not renewed. There is no coach that is going to come in and make this right, right now.
 
They need to clean house and bring in a new coaching staff. I really rather not see 1 coach leftover from the Garrett era. It's time for new blood and fresh ideas all the way around.

If you ask me the real problem is that there aren't any Asian babes on the Cowboys cheerleading squad.
