Prescott's Drive

If you think Wentz' ceiling is higher than you must believe he's the more talented player.

Welcome aboard. We'll be proven over time but I'd rather be wrong.
You'd rather be wrong, but of course you swipe at every positive post about Dak. You don't have to be cheer leader for Dak, but you also don't have to go out of your way to piss on him every time. Contrary to what you think about being and "adult", you are being just as immature if not more so than the fans that "blindly" get behind a Cowboys player.

I think what we have to do with the Risen Star's, and other Dak trolls, is simply put them on ignore. It's a good year for me and I'd like to simply enjoy it. So my ignore list has grown from about 2 people to about 10 or 11, and I promise you, it will get bigger. Ignore the trolls and enjoy being 11-1.
not a bad idea !

Okay, I guess he was scrambling for the heck of it then. My bad

QB pressures (sacks, hits, hurries) surrendered by NFL O-lines this season

Most: Colts (192)
Fewest: Cowboys (84)

Nobody has it as good as Dak, bro. Nobody.

I just went and re-watched. Dak's protection Thursday night wasn't as spotless as it is in some games, but it was above average.

My "hate" and "devotion" consists of me believing one is much better than the other and then having to defend that stance to a bunch of babies.

I too want him to suffer. I wish him a career of playing with that garbage around him.

Still wish we had him though.
Dak is better than Wentz in smarts and in character, desire, work ethic, and determination,
and staying cool and calm.
All that translates to 11-1 while wentz is what 5-6 ?

Dak is clearly superior to wentz and all the others in this draft and even other vets.

Wentz would not pick up the cup !
He ignored a die hard eagle fan at the airport when he arrived, and that told me what
type of person he was.

I like the title "Prescott's Drive" , can I steal it and patent it? :)

The 4th quarter, game winning drives should be called "Prescott's Drive"

Prescott is good...he's convinced me, but I'm a bit puzzled on their sometimes reluctance to lean on Elliot. I guess watching E. Smith in the nineties spoiled me...but it seemed Smith was in on every offensive play of the entire game. They used the hell out of him, both as a runner and an excellent receiver. I have never watched a more durable athlete, considering his position...it was freakish and almost bizarre.

I believe they are trying to protect Zeke from hitting that rookie wall that seems to happen to rookies not used to the number and intensity of the games in the NFL. I am pretty certain that once the playoffs start, they will ride that horse all the way till the end.

Because of the society we live in today. Men have been emasculated. We're too concerned with safety and feelings these days. Nobody talked about Emmitt's well being and future then. They just rode the horse and were rewarded for it with the best career a RB has ever had. Now we have the same type of talent and we're busy assigning a series each half to a lesser player and all 3rd downs to a complete bum.

If you go down you go down swinging. You play your best hand. The Cowboys' best shot at winning is Ezekiel Elliott on the field and being the focal point of every game. Just like Emmitt Smith was.

Imagine doing this to Emmitt. Imagine taking Emmitt out on 3rd downs for Sherman Williams or Derrick Lassic. People would have thought you were nuts yet this crap is accepted with Zeke and Dunbar.

Considering we won the last 11 games, I don't think we had the need to go down swinging. Apparently the Cowboys best shot at winning is to do what they have been doing the last eleven games. I'm sure Zeke will benefit in the playoffs from the limited number of carries in the regular season. Zeke will be a work horse in the playoffs and the limited wear and tear from the season will only make him that much better.

Wentz ranks 30th in Total QBR, only ahead of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Case Keenum, and he actually has a negative Expected Points Added. I didn't realize he was struggling so much this year until I saw that. He may end up being a good quarterback at some point, but he's no Dak Prescott.

yea Wentz would be better in Dallas. Sanders would've been better than Emmitt in Dallas. Gurley would be better than Zeke in Dallas. (Long yawn).

**** Wentz

Game managers (the elite ones) can also take over games. But they are methodical and don't make mistakes. They are life. Tom is life. Dak is life.

Perfect post. I would actually put Dak right now somewhere between Bus Driver and Game Manager, which makes him elite in terms of a rookie. Give him a season or two and he will be in the Field General category.

I have him on Ignore, for me this whole thread is like 8 posts long.

Kidding, I come here for information and posts from Risen Star aren't information, they are a child crying for attention. The funny thing is that in threads like this I don't have to read his posts or hit the button for "show ignored posts", its always tragically obvious who people are replying to.

**** Wentz

Mehh, I think the book is still out on Dak vs Wentz and will be for several years. Dak is amazing and getting better, but Wentz could still end up being an excellent QB. We just don't know how much each guy will develop over the next couple of years.

My point in that argument is always that Dallas got an elite QB for a bargain price. Philly paid an elite price to get Wentz, so if he doesn't become an elite QB its a huge failure for that franchise.

I can certainly respect your opinion, Kaiser, as you possess a phenomenal football mind. I disagree about putting Dak in the bus-driver category, simply due to our lackluster D. I feel bus-drivers tow the line and win, and win big, due to their defense -- as they can't propel their offenses above what is the bare minimum needed for their D's to take it home.

But I can't necessarily disagree with you, either.

Conundrum :)

Meh, I think we haven't seen enough of Wentz past week three to put him in any of my categories. Granted, those categories are layman, but whatevs. He was dropping buckets against the ******* Browns

ETA -- the rest I agree with @Kaiser :)

My argument is that guy will be a vastly superior player in the NFL than the inferior Dak Prescott.

If that steams your clams, so be it. I couldn't possibly find the energy to care. It's my honest evaluation of their skill sets. One's great. The other is marginal.
It's tired, RS. We all know your honest evaluation. You seem to want the Cowboys to fail so you can justify your negativity towards Dak. It's a moot point that you think Wentz is better. What difference does it make anyway? Dak Prescott is the QB of your favorite team, not Wentz. Let it go. At this point, we don't even take you seriously. It's not too late to let the anti-Dak sarcasm go. You're missing out on a great season with this foolishness.

To mix metaphors, a good defense can be a great offense. Dak has ten other players with him on offense. Five are Pro Bowlers, one is a RB that is in the running for league MVP and others are way above average players like Leary and Beasley. TWill is the only below average player on the field, even with Free's inconsistency he is an above average RT.
