So are you on record as team chemistry does not matter. Forget distraction, that is probably the wrong word. I think the week of the Super Bowl there are going to be plenty of distractions. Distractions are a plenty.

Team chemistry. Not saying you agree that TO is not condusive to team chemistry, but I am asking if you believe there is such a thing and if there is, is it important?

I do belive in team chemistry and I do believe it is important.

I also believe that a team with TO on it will never have it. A team with TO may have it in the beginning which I would term a honeymoon period, but after that I believe he is disruptive.

I never said there was no team chemistry, I think there is. I just don't buy the media's take on this team's.

And

You're guessing about TO and this team's chemistry and so am I, I guess we disagree.

Absolutely correct. I acknowledge that. However, wether you agree or not there is a certain "past" that TO carries around with him. It is not like the people who want him gone are grabbing things out of thin air.

TO is a risk I would not be willing to take for team chemistry sake.

OK whatever...

Didn't want TO here to begin with but decided to support it until I saw evidence that I shouldn't.

I ain't seen anything yet...If you have then fine. What we say ain't gonna matter.

Does anything we say matter on this board? Kind of the point I thought. Differing opinions, it is what it is. How's that for a Pacellism.

I bet Jason Garrett hopes he gets a job, because I bet he can't wait to get away from Owens. You know, the guy that disrespects the offensive coordinator and blames him and the quarterback for not "getting the ball".

There may be some truth in it. The offense philosophy was flawed, but no player in the NFL could go on television and get away with tossing people over board and assigning blame like Owens has. He didn't challenge people; he assigned blame. Owens is an "I confess, he did it" type of player.

The Cowboys look like the joke of the NFL because of the way they bow and appease Terrell Owens.

Jason Witten had the guts to stand up to his selfish, diva, cancerous attitude and challenge him on a route he ran in the Steelers game. Witten dared to hold Owens accountable for his poor route running or effort in that game. What did Owens do? He wanted to fight. (No. It didn't happen. There are no moles. What ever. Put your head in the sand.) Don't question the almighty Terrell Owens, or it's fighting time.

I'm sure Witten did it due to Owens blaming the quarterback and offensive coordinator for him "not getting the ball" on national television. He was standing up to the bully and defending the quarterback and oc. Witten was probably sick of his "me" attitude.

Also, I think Owens little outburst after the Pittsburgh game showed Romo up on national t.v. I am sure Witten took exception to that as well, beause Witten slipped on the play.

You don't see Jason Witten acting like a fool when Owens drops a ball or makes a mistake.

Rampage's computer analogy is dead on. It will not guarantee a Super Bowl, but it's a start to getting a team back and not an iOwens cult following in the lockerroom.

Correction.

Terrell Owens won't ever win squat.

The Dallas Cowboys, which may include Terrell Owens when that happens, will win the Super Bowl. Stop the Terrell Owens fixation.

Stop reading for a moment. You won't like this.

If he's voluntarily creating a problem by conducting totally, unnecessary one-on-one interviews (i.e. Deion Sanders interview) which questions the inner workings of the team with the P-U-B-L-I-C at-large. , sure. It's simple. DON'T do it.

Hi, 5Countem5. How's kicks? :)

Better idea.

Stop hiding behind the nonsense that a distraction can't affect a team's performance to any degree. As I've stated in the past, these are not automotons. They are human beings. Human beings are fallible and distraction do not have to be plastered on a billboard or have to be earth-shattering to have the tiniest effect. And no. I will not provide you with proof just as you do not have to provide me with proof that there AREN'T any distractions which effected the team this season.

Me and you do have some common ground!!!

Good post.

That flare up on the sidelines in Pittsburgh is what made Garrett go to the WR's and ask if they wanted to talk.

I would definitely get rid of Owens. Not because he is a bad player, he isn't. Not by any wild stretch of the imagination.

Not because the fans and media are calling for it. Screw that. Who cares? I don't.

Not because it could drive Garrett or Sherman away. I'm the biggest Garrett shill on the forum. I have a serious agenda for him to be the next Head Coach.

There are three reasons why I would do this. Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Tashard Choice.

I love ball control Offense. I love to pound the other team to death. I love to see the Defense getting rest while the Offense moves the chains.

Roy can be a #1, Austin #2, Crayton the #3. Witten is the best weapon in the passing attack anyway and Bennett could be utilized more.

The money saved could shore up the O-line which is badly needed. I'd like to spend on Defense so that they can be the attacking disruptive force I want. 59 sacks in 2008 was great, but they gave up too many points, too much yardage and wore down.

The payoff would be less distractions. Sorry Owens fans, but denying he is a distraction is wearing blinders. Guy is one hell of a football player, but he is high maintenance and what this team needs is a new focus. Ball control is the answer.

We'd still have some home run hitters with Roy, Austin and especially Felix.

We might score fewer points, in fact we probably would. But I'd trade that for a more focused, less distracted team that wins more and I think we'd win more in 2009 with Owens gone and a new focus on Offense.

It's just my opinion and you're free to disagree.

Whatever man. You , like most, feel that since you get your panties in a wad about TO, then the players must as well. He only distracts you and posters like you. LOL

I give the players some credit of being able to sort through the bs, you don't. They are in the locker room, they know what he is.

You done?

Do you know what that "flare up" was about? I saw it as well. The 2-3 secs of Owens screaming on the sidelines that was broadcast.

Has anyone ever seen Michael Irvin screaming on the sidelines?
Not sure a he played in a game in which he wasn't screaming to someone about something. I've heard plenty via NFL Films.
Not all of it was the positve, "hey keep your head in the game" or "lets go gettem".
Some of it surely boardered on the selfish side of "hey get me the ball".
But of course when Irvin did it, it was with the best intentions. Nobody ever accused him of being a selfish diva.

Now understand I'm not comparing the lifelong Cowboy, 3xSB Champ, Irvin to TO.

It's just a shame that it's simply assumed that everthing Owens does on the sidelines in those heated type moments is negative.

More BS on your part to completely disallow alleged events which neither you, I nor anyone outside the organization cannot prove, but which no one on the outside cannot disprove either.

You haven't lived in a shack that's sitting on the moon either, but I doubt you wouldn't say that men have landed on it simply because you weren't waiting for them to arrive with a gift basket.

Well, Hos pretty much ensured that TO won't be released.

I've learned that when Hos wants the Cowboys to do something they more often than not go the opposite direction.

Good going Hos! :D
