Well, Hos pretty much ensured that TO won't be released.

I've learned that when Hos wants the Cowboys to do something they more often than not go the opposite direction.

Good going Hos! :D

When you have 2 champion race horses in the same stall they will fight, that's just nature. It's gonna take the right trainer, ie. coach to harness all the talent on this team, especially TO. I would bench TO before I cut him. We need a true leader to run the show and right now there's a void in that dept. Somebody needs to come in here and either bench some guys or cut them and limit what they can say to the media, even if you have to give them a script to read during press conferences. The drama will only stop when a leader cracks the whip.

Everything in life is about balance with emphasis on strengths working around weaknesses. The strength of our offense has to be utilized with balance. Our O-line is designed to run the ball but if we run to much we will get bogged down. If we pass to much we will get figured out as we do every December.

TO is a play maker and has always been a factor in the run game because more often than not he draws a double team. Witten is awesome and needs to be commended but I bet he doesn't need to hear it to play at a consistent level.

Felix Jones needs to be our feature back with Tashard Choice following suit, and Marion Barber needs to be moved back to short yardage situations and closer. Bennett needs more reps as well as Miles Austin. What happened to Patrick Crayton? His mouth and his attitude replaced his play making? RW11 played with a foot injury and has gotten a bad rap for taking plays off. He probably should have been yanked and replaced with Miles Austin along with more reps to Bennett. Romo's passing went down with the injury to his pinkie. Next season we will know what's up in that area of his game, surely he will heal completely over the off season.

We have all these champion race horses sitting in the stall getting indigestion and making big piles of poop. Why? Where's the imagination? Get the ball to your best players and get it there often. This teams strength, the offense, always becomes the weakness down the stretch. This needs to change and it starts at the top. Without accountability and without leadership were just a bunch of high priced champion race horses, fighting, farting, and pooping.

Bench TO before you cut him....

I've been right about the last 4 Drafts what we were planning to do. I openly admit that is me passing along info though.

I would definitely get rid of Owens. Not because he is a bad player, he isn't. Not by any wild stretch of the imagination.

Not because the fans and media are calling for it. Screw that. Who cares? I don't.

Not because it could drive Garrett or Sherman away. I'm the biggest Garrett shill on the forum. I have a serious agenda for him to be the next Head Coach.

There are three reasons why I would do this. Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Tashard Choice.

I love ball control Offense. I love to pound the other team to death. I love to see the Defense getting rest while the Offense moves the chains.

Roy can be a #1, Austin #2, Crayton the #3. Witten is the best weapon in the passing attack anyway and Bennett could be utilized more.

The money saved could shore up the O-line which is badly needed. I'd like to spend on Defense so that they can be the attacking disruptive force I want. 59 sacks in 2008 was great, but they gave up too many points, too much yardage and wore down.

The payoff would be less distractions. Sorry Owens fans, but denying he is a distraction is wearing blinders. Guy is one hell of a football player, but he is high maintenance and what this team needs is a new focus. Ball control is the answer.

We'd still have some home run hitters with Roy, Austin and especially Felix.

We might score fewer points, in fact we probably would. But I'd trade that for a more focused, less distracted team that wins more and I think we'd win more in 2009 with Owens gone and a new focus on Offense.

It's just my opinion and you're free to disagree.

I would be willing to argue that Miles Austin is a better home run threat than Terrell Owens at this point in TO's career, simply because Austin is quicker - I believe that speed and quickness are two different things - and I believe Austin is worlds better than Owens at running routes.

Owens would be a great compliment if he had the ability to shut up and get a few catches a game and deal with decreased production, but I don't think that's possible. Once he takes a look in the mirror and realizes that he is getting older and tries to get the younger guys more invovled than himself, he'd be a valuable asset. But again...he still thinks he's 23.

How do you deal with the cap hit? And if you are willing to sweat off a bad cap year and dump contracts, then how about chronic underachievers like Flozell Adams?

The cap hit to cut him is less than 1 million more than what his cap hit would be if we kept him.

We are expected to have almost 10 million in cap room.

$1 million < $10 million

I would be interested to see the cap analysis for the upcoming season...like how we plan to sign any draft picks, etc.

What part of $10 million in cap room indicates to you we might not be able to spend the approximately $2.5 million allotted to signing Draft picks?

That's seriously fuzzy math.

You would never hear me griping about going for Shanahan.

No matter who the coach is, TO has to either be gone or shut up. We will start winning again when he does. The more he talks, the more we're going to lose.

This was about the only thing I could agree with on TO. I'm hoping better play calling from Shannahan (can you say "west coast offense-type slants"?) will be enough to shut him up. If not, your point may be valid.

Sigh.

$7.5 million left can cover all 3 if we choose to. Plus the Draft picks.

Put the Maalox back on the shelf.
