There is no doubt in my mind that Romo had the talent to win a Super Bowl. He didn't win one not because of his lack of talent or his play. He didn't win one because of the above fact. It is those who are anti-Romo who put the burden squarely on his shoulders for the losses. It is a ridiculous thing to do. There is too much nuance involved.

As for the Dak reference, that was in regard to the move for Cooper likely being pointless if the QB can't get him the ball. Romo proved over and over again that he could see the receivers in a timely manner and get them the ball. Dak has regressed and is one of the primary reasons (along with coaching) for the low scoring, stuck in the mud offense. Romo could overcome Garrett and company. Dak is showing that he cannot because he is holding the ball for too long, not seeing open receivers, and his wind up when he throws is problematic and his mechanics are still bad.

He might see them but he misses too. No QB is perfect.

there are too many other things to take into account including the quality of the other teams at this time. Take the Rams for instance. I agree with you that Romo would make this offense a lot better than it is but good enough to beat that Rams defense? I don't know about that

the one thing I will say is that sometimes when the team is struggling it is more fun to have debates like this then talk about everything that is going wrong on the field LOL

I don't see how going to Cabo on a trip when the head coach shut down the film room and told the team to take a break is worse than going clubbing like Dak did during the 2016 bye week.

Dak also probably would have been shut out with the 2007 playoff team vs the 2007 NYG defense.

Well, the whole offensive supporting cast in that playoff game outside of the TE was worse than what Dak is working with now. The NYG defense in the playoffs was also better than any Dak has seen yet. I don't think it's unrealistic at all.

The HOF WR was dealing with a high ankle sprain and wasn't anything close to his normal self. The line right now is a pro bowl line yet you don't hesitate to criticize it.

there is 1 player playing at a pro bowl level right now. That hof wr still was ballin. please you are reaching that 2007 team was the best team since the early 90's team. Pretty sure it had a record amount of pro bowlers on it. Don't use 2007 as an example you will look bad

You are seriously claiming that TO was balling in the playoff game? No shame for him not being effective with the injury he had, it was great that he was even playing. The main reason that the Giants were able to limit the Cowboys in the playoff game compared to the 2 games in the regular season was because they were able to leave TO one on one in the playoff game and he was still blanketed on the majority of plays.

I would take every single position on the current oline over their counterpart in 2007 with the possible exception of LG (weakest player on both olines).
