I would love to see all of the cowboys turn and salute the flag. Then begin to march in unison while squadrons of fighter jets fly by and apollo creed is at certain stage wearing his Uncle Sam boxing outfit from when he fought drago.

USA USA USA USA USA

I'm getting chillz thinking about it. How glorious.

Going to bite on this outside my better judgement. The politics of this thing annoy me because I look to football for something else; a diversion, an oasis. I don't care to boycott anything. I will watch what I wish when I wish. But I am losing interest, and the politics is only one reason. Heck, I was a political science major. I love politics. But this is football, entertainment, a chance to put down our swords and enjoy an event, whether we are progressive, conservative, libertarian or whatever.

That said, between reams of political sermons, Goodell judgments, rule book nonsense, interpretive Alice in Wonderland explanations, etc., the league is losing me. And the players would do well to be concerned that the self righteous commissioner has no trouble with labeling, on thin to nonexistent evidence, a young man, black or white, with a tag that could stick to him forever.

I really don't care to debate the rights and wrongs of how I feel about watching a ball game.

I am on the fence. And that is no political statement. My views are pretty complex and don't tend to adhere to simple left and right dogma.

I'm just not happy with what this has become, and I might vote with my feet. Likely will turn the game on and see if I can muster the same excitement.

But it isn't on yet.

If the Cowboys kneel or stay in the locker room during the National anthem that will be the final nail in the NFL coffin. When the crown jewel in the ratings go it's over.

They split the difference and kneeled prior to the song

Whole team locked arms and kneeled together with Jerry front and center

But not during the anthem. They showed support for the cause and then respect for the flag and our servicemen. Perfect if you ask me. If they had stayed kneeling during the anthem, I was out forever without hesitation.

Standing and kneeling both show respect.

Staying slouched on the bench wouldn't show respect.

When characters in the Bible pray they...kneeled? It's a sign of respect as well.

Five of us have been meeting at the bar for MNF for over 10 years. 2 of the fellas are Marines that served in Afghanistan and told us there was no way they were watching any NFL game. Monday is now poker night and I could care any less about the politicized NFL . So as Marshawn Lynch says; I'll be taking a knee"on this and not miss a beat. I have no problem whatsoever with whoever wants to continue but my Family's and friends time and dollars will no longer support this Disaster known as the NFL. I promise not to let the door hit me on the *** either.

So if some Cowboys protest who here is going to stop watching? Want to get that down.
I kept watching when the turd TO played here.

I basically assume most players are terrible people. I see them as gladiators. Did the Romans care if the gladiators were good people or bad people in their personal lives?

Of course you do. Most are black and you think that they were better off when enslaved. No surprise.

You got nothing so you keep harping on an esoteric point with an attempt to misconstrue.

I love it.
