PS4 vs Xbox One

I switched primarily to PC gaming recently, but I still like the PS4 better than the Xbone.

That's what I've been doing lately too thanks to a lack of games on the new consoles, but I pretty much just try to avoid anything with Microsoft's name on it. Hate the way they do business and try to dictate industries instead of compete in them or offer a better product.

Hopefully Driveclub will actually come out someday.

I probably spent more times replaying Doom and DN than I'd care to admit. I guess the Battlefield games were there before CoD too, those were pretty game changing, as far as multiplayer goes.

I used to play the original BF 1942 for PC all the time; especially the Desert Combat mod.

I can't even Fathom how many hours I put into BF:Vietnam. I'm sitting at about 300 on BF4.. and I'm not even close to what I had on BFVeitnam.

Ground Zeroes is fantastic on the PS4. Blah Blah Blah about the length and price, don't care. The Phantom Pain will be game of the year next year. Now with inFamous coming out Friday my PS4 is rollin' baby!

Ground Zeroes is short but sweet.
If any of you played MGS3, you'll remember the "Virtuous Mission". The little prequel mission before getting into Operation Snake Eater. That's what Ground Zeroes was supposed to be for MGS5. Just a little prequel mission to set up the rest of the game, but MGS5 got so big they could not fit all of it on 1 disc, so they had to split it up.
They dropped the price to a reasonable $ so I'm ok with it. Couple of hours to get through the main mission, but a whole lot more if you do all the side missions.

The ending of the game was crazy. But what I realized after playing it was you literally got about 90% of the cut scenes for this game in various trailers released already. You see almost nothing you haven't seen already cut scene wise, until the final few minutes of the ending.

MGS5 is 200x bigger than Ground Zeroes.. The game is going to be so amazing.

I'm looking forward to Dying Light that comes out on April 1st. That game looks like it's going to be really fun and it'll be the first game I've bought since the PS4 launched. At launch I picked up BF4, Ghosts, and Madden 25 so that's what I've been playing, other than our free games that were given to us (Which have been several good ones), but I'm looking forward to Dying Light for sure.

Although the last few weeks I haven't played a single minute because I've been going through some other things in my personal life so I haven't had the time, or desire, to bother with the video games lately.

Once again have to chime in and say that I am enjoying the hell out of inFamous SS. The reviews are sort of mixed on it, but yeah screw reviews. Graphics and gameplay are top notch. I've played both Titanfall and infamous now and I give the easy edge to SS. Can't believe that in only 5 months the PS4 has cranked out some truly next-gen experiences in Ground Zeroes and now SS. Greatness has arrived.

Mad respect for the Infamous series. Watchdogs, Daylight, and Wolfenstein coming out soon too. Jealous over here :D

I am bummed because they told me at Gamestop yesterday that they've pushed Dying Light back to August so I'm waiting till July now for my next game which will be Watch Dogs.

Wow, you have a PS4 and are NOT playing inFamous? The game is absolutely incredible.

Anyone getting the xbox one with titanfall now that it's cheaper than the ps4 (when factoring in the normal price of the game)?

Yeah I haven't been playing for more than a month now so I haven't gotten a chance to pick that game up yet. I guess I should look into it cause I'm hearing great stuff about it.

I highly recommend Infamous as well just from the PS3 games I've played. Similar to "Prototype" on 360. Watchdogs looks really sharp as well. Hope things have turned up for ya bro.

Yeah, didn't mean to come off as condescending man. I understand life happens and games just aren't important, believe me. But if you get the time definitely look into playing inFamous. It really is a truly great next-gen game.

You guys still having fun with your PS4? I'm tempted once again to buy one, but I have no need for it.

Yep. Quiet on the game front for me right now. Patiently waiting for "The Last of Us" and "Destiny". I still play COD Ghosts some. Don't Starve was pretty good, really good actually considering it was free with PSPlus. I heard pretty good things about "Infamous SS" but I didn't buy it.

Octodad drops this week on PS4 but I don't think I will pick it up.

Also, a zombie survival game called H1Z1 is in the works but I'm not sure when it drops. Child of Light isn't too far away either.

I just don't see any REAL good games out. There's nothing that makes me want it, but I just like to experiment with new things.

I'm getting let down by the next gen @ the moment. Not the capability of the hardware, just the attention to game releases in general. Not indie throw back games that resemble SNES graphics etc. It is becoming more and more frustrating. Many games are still set to release to the last gen in 14. The bigger games being promised are severely lacking, and the ones announced are being delayed again and again. They released these systems a couple of years too early it seems. It feels they are milking both sides in a way (last gen/current)

Not an expert on the game industry, just enjoy gaming. So just a casual gamer observation more so.
