BTW doesn't it bother anyone that in film, Queen Latifah is just one, huge stereotype? Something like 10 films, and she still can't speak correctly.

What is a stereotype?

Is Jerry Stiller a stereotype?

Is Jackie Chan?

Is Megan Fox?

Is Zac Efron?

Or is it only a "certain" stereotype that you find offensive?

I do not like maddona ...... but I would not say I hate that fake not talented white chick because her race is not important.

So apparently her race has something to do with why he dislikes her.

fair enough, makes more sense then. the first time race was brought in to it as i read it was the op being accused of racism which i thought was more than a little ott. since i didn't read what was said i guess i can't comment other than to say she irritates me but hey at least she doesn't steal babies.

None of them are stereotypes. I don't think because of Seinfeld all people think Jewish guys are slightly funny comedians. There are a lot of educated African Americans that speak just fine, but do you see them being portrayed in film? Other than being made fun of for being "too white" or trying to not be black.

to be fair i wouldn't really say any of your examples were stereotypes, possible exception of jackie chan (i have no idea who the first one was so that be right)

Nothing wrong with being fit, being offensive is your schtick tho. And you can't make a good criticism without sticking to stereotypes and pointing out **** that's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Criticizing accomplishments is one thing, but focusing on a person's looks, ethnicity, or anything unrelated to the jobs they perform just makes you look shallow.

Seriously, any African American on film has to be this emotional, loud type of person unless they are in a high paid job surrounded by white people. I chat a little bit with a black security guard who comes into my work, and he speaks perfectly normal with no histrionics. My black basketball coaches in high school all conducted themselves in the same way. And they were in their mid-late 20s.

There are other stereotypes too out there where the matronly black women is tread around with in fear, or else she'll whup your skinny behind.

BTW: To me (Im a white dude...no really) the Queen is the EPITOME of a beautiful black woman. I love her style and I love the humanity about her. She is someone I would very much enjoy knowing.
