You Bastid!!!

He's a midget!!!

:D

Smith is not small- jsut seems that way today when everyone wants their QB to be at least 6-4. I remember when 6 foot was the cutoff for QB's- anyone smaller was just plain ignored. Now its creeping up so that 6-2 is starting to seem small.

Easy killer. I'm just messin. I actually like smith...but I like Quinn better. I might even like Brohm better than Quinn. Anyway, Smith is a bit on the short side, and I would "prefer" to have a NFL QB whom can see over the line rather than through it. It wouldn't surprise me to see him measure out at 5'11" at the combine. Just saying...

After the next 3 games, this board won't be talking about any other QB except ROMO.. The kid can play, he's the real deal!!!!!

Sure he is with all his playing time and all the games you have seen him play you know this right????

Smith just seems to me to be just another David Klingler, Andre Ware, Crouch, etc. Great college QB's but just not pro QB's.

And Quinn is the next Ron Powlus.

Whats your point?

Quinn's just another Rick Mirer.:D

Smith doesn't play in the Run and Shoot offense.

This kid is just an amazing QB. I have no idea why people dislike him.

Powlus was a pretty decent QB. He just did not have that extra little bit of something that means a real good QB. Or the bit of genius that makes a great QB. Mirer was never that accurate and it cost him. I think if Fiore had stayed one more year at Seattle he would have developed MIrer into a good QB. NOthing more, but a good one. Smith is a run and shoot type of QB even if they are not playing that type of Offense. He just looks like those others to me.

If Quinn was on another team many more would like him. Being on ND the haters and the envious ones dislike him just for that. I wonder how many of those that keep running JJ down do it because he was a ND player?

I'm an ND hater for good reason, but this kid id a just a fantastic football player. Those thinking he will be a flop are off base.

Just say no, I watched Mirer in college and at Seattle. He had a very good rookie year- set some records as a rookie that still stand. Completions and attemps, I think. As I pointed out, once Fiore left Mirer was pretty much out. I cannot remember who took over, but he really had no patience and quit on Mirer. I think he could have become a brad johnson type.

Navy has no quit in them. For those that stupidly rag on the Service Academies, this should be a lesson to them on what COLLEGE FOOTBALL should be all about.

Wanna bet?

Sure. Stakes? I think you're just too hung up on the fact that he's a UDFA. No pedigree. Who cares, it's not what round you get drafted in, or even if you get drafted at all... it's what you do in the league that matters.

Sorry man, but thinking Rick Mirer could have been anything more than crap takes the phrase 'golden homer' to dizzying heights.

don bother trying to figure some people out. Anyone who disparages those kids in the service academy deserves our total contempt.

Oh come on, you pimp Notre Dame something fierce but how much credit can a school like ND get if they beat up on the three academies? Everyone knows that except in a couple of very rare cases, players with any desire to play football long term (and the talent to do so) do NOT go to the academies.

Yea, a talented scholarship team destroying a bunch of non scholarship players by 24 points?

When I think of college football, thats not what comes to mind.

Easy to see someone who has no real knowledge.
After Mirer's rookie year he was thought that he was going to be a real good Pro QB. Maybe better then Bledsoe. I really doubt you are old enough to remember, but that was the way it was.
