Sure if the undefeated coach never won a Super Bowl. ;)

you said undefeated season, but still, 2 Super Bowls >>> less than 2 Super Bowls

so I guess Chuck Noll, Jimmie Johnson, BIll Belichick, are nowhere near Shula then, despite having more Super Bowl trophies?

They're all great coaches but speaking solely on taking your team through a season and being able to say we didn't lose a game.. only once coach can say that. ;)

did Marino QB any of those teams?

Did I bring up Shula? Show me where the first occurrence of the name Shula took place.

Let's recap.

Sure if the undefeated coach never won a Super Bowl. ;) There will never be another undefeated season. What a distinction to hold. It's nice to know that Parcells has Super Bowl wins under his belt. I bet that had you and others foaming at the mouthes 4 years ago. :lmao:

you brought up Marino having all his pieces, so using your logic, I brought up Shula, saying he was a bad coach because he couldn't win a Super Bowl w/ all that

Don't use my logic. Use your own. You took that off into left field. Let's bring it back to center. Enhance the calm.

I'm not using your logic per se, just ridiculing it

Not too hijack this thread, but color me guilty. I brought up a point in another with you, bout coach's being better when they were younger compared to vs. over 65.

Marino was a much better QB that Griesse, yet who won 2 superbowls ?

Why, the younger better coach.

while I give that notion credence, Shula won Super Bowls because he relied on a strong running game, and strong D, which seems to be the key ingredients to any Super Bowl winner, no matter the age in which it was done, whether it be 1974, or parity-driven 2005, w/ Marino, he didn't have a running game, and teams could key in on Marino and the passing game

no matter how old you are as a coach, you need a system, and you need players

In case you out there in Cowboys land are wondering -

"How can I make such a fantastic thread like this?"

I'll outline it for you.

First you should have a thought. Generally, this thought will occur in another thread. But, since you think that it is so witty and clever, you think to yourself - "Dizzamn - I gots to make me my own thread. I gots to see my name in lizzights!"

And then, your new thread is borne. If it truly is an exciting, interesting, new thought worthy of seperate discussion, so that it should not have been contained in another thread that maybe dealt with a seperate issue, people will love it, thank you for it, and respond in kind. If it would have been better served remaining in it's original thread, because it's not, in fact witty, original, or thought-provoking, and it could have run it's course in the existing thread, you will generally get responses thanking you for your lame-*** thread, making *snore* posts, posting mocking pics or thoughts, and informing you that there are several threads that your "witty" thread could have already been contained in.

So tread carefully, thread starters, or soon your "witty" thread will devolve into this thread - because it wasn't witty in the first place.
