Don't invest in runningbacks.. It's stupid.

They single handedly screwed up the RB market and we followed their footsteps.

Now they paid a slightly above mediocre QB and we have to now pay our slightly above mediocre QB.

Following the Rams stupidity.. It's what we do.

I think Zeke probably understands that his days are numbered now. He might have a couple decent seasons left at most.

You were doing well until you started with your "our slightly above mediocre QB" crapola.

It will be interesting to see what happens to CMC, Kamara, and Henry those guys will want more then Zeke. If I was Henry I would not sign the Tag after he led the Titans to the AFC championship game. Then the Titans slapped him in the face by giving Tannehill 90+ guaranteed after he carried the team on his back.

He was a great player, but IMO he got his money and quit. His knee is arthritic and it hurts, and that sucks. But I think he's just tried to do just enough to keep the money flowing, and the Rams finally got tired of it.

No body is going to take on his contract with his health problems. Rams are going to have to pay for a large portion of his contract to get rid of him. Or a trade with another team with a bad contract they are trying to get rid of also.

Couple things.......

Reminder Zeke was drafted NOT for Dak but to extend/take pressure off Romo. Looking back, this was still Romo's team. So much Jerry and Stephen passed on drafting Wentz to avoid alienating Romo. The other thing, you don't spend a 4th overall pick on a player you don't expect to be on your for a 2nd contract UNLESS he's a colossal bust. Zeke lead the league in rushing 2 of his first 3 years which pretty much sealed his 2nd contract. So comparing his situation to Gurley is apples and oranges.

Good thing we didn’t overpay for a RB, that would have been idiotic. Really glad we didn’t waste a high draft pick on one, that would have been more idiotic.
but we DID overpay for a RB. zeke is not as good as he was , plus he has a terrible locker room and PR effect on the team

I say wait until it happens. He might be like AD and run strong late into his career.

Perhaps I should have used an emoji, I was being sarcastic. Drafting Zeke at 4 overall and paying him what we did was a total waste but hey, he has some shiny numbers that please the masses and give them bragging rights.

Sign him to a one year deal. He's better than Pollard.

No surprise at all
knew this was coming, he's clearly just not the same impact guy anymore, and that knee is just chronic, limited and made him a mere shell of his older self.
i expect them to go RB in the draft as early as 1st or 2nd round.
and who in their right mind is gonna trade for a declining player and especially that monster contract.
Betcha rams make a deal to eat some of that currency..if there's a trade. .

A lot of RB’s would have similar success behind this O line and he disappears in big games. Nice to see him rack up garbage yards against garbage teams but that doesn’t win championships.
Oh you mean like all the games where he’s running well in the first half then we abandon the run the rest of the game? Or do you mean when we just run it right up the gut 70% of the time on 1st down and the defense knows it?

If y’all think our players are the big problem you’re crazy. Under Garrett teams literally have to perform to perfection on the field to get any real winning done. Then once you get to the divisional against an equally talented or better team, it always results in a loss because that’s when coaching comes into play. No matter how good this team or players play, this isn’t the 90’s. You’re not gonna out talent the other team. Thought this was common sense

How people are mad at almost 1800 all-purpose yards and 14 TD’s is beyond me. Dude didn’t even get a TC to warm up lol. If he gives us anything near this production the next 2 years it was a great deal, not to mention we have an out in 2022.

why is it beyond you? Was he a difference maker? What game did he win for us? When was he that unstoppable force? I cant remember one game.

The guy played behind one of the best lines in football and got over 300 carries and 70 receptions. Give that to a host of backs and you get the same production.

The salary doesnt justify it. Not close.

Dude cmon, the line hasn’t played like the number one in the league since ‘16. Injuries and crap/repetitive schemes have greatly reduced the effectiveness of the line. They def are still good, but it’s not the same. Was Zeke perfect? No. But these guys have to be perfect to win with Garrett. We all know that. Any other coach last year and this team is much more effective.

You don’t think 5k passing yards 30TD’s from your QB and 1800 all purpose and 14TD’s from your back can be converted into less stats and more efficiency/wins? With a halfway decent coach I know it
