Looks like slightly better and younger version of Mincey based on stats. Not going to provide much of a pass rush, but will run into 4-5 sacks over 16 games. Preferably a backup but unfortunately he would be a starting player in Dallas.

As long as the rapman isn't reporting he is "signing" there must be a real chance a deal gets done.

LOL Rapoport takes a lot of heat but most of what he has been reporting lately has been accurate. Who could've possibly predicted that Robinson would fire his agent after agreeing to a deal with Dallas?

He started for the lions for the last 2 years And they have had a good defensive line. Not an all-star but a pretty good player ala Anthony Spencer

That has all the makings of another bend but don't break defense next season due to a lack of pressure on the QB. But, I guess that is a foregone conclusion at this point.

Looney (6-3, 315) can play both guard and center. The Cowboys need a backup center because they lost Mackenzy Bernadeau in free agency to Jacksonville.

Looney, 25, started six games last season for the Tennessee Titans. He played the first three years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers. He was a fourth-round pick in 2012 out of Wake Forest.

Depending on the years such stalwarts as Jim Jeffcoat, Jimmie Jones( both at DE and DT) Tony Hill( no not the WR) and a host of other JAGS.

Jeffcoat had over 100 career sacks including multiple double digit seasons for the Cowboys. More importantly, I have one of his practice jerseys.

OMG! Let's not revisit those days please. One of the worst draft picks ever...

I was still pretty young at the time......But I kept waiting for Shante, kept waiting..... Its been awhile, but it seemed like they pumped up Shante a great deal...... and then .......nothing. Another one was that TE. Lafluer I think his name was...

Jones would be a very solid addition. He can play base LDE pretty effectively, and can kick inside and provide good pass rush on passing downs. He would be a good contributor for this team on all downs.
