Dinner for Schmucks 6/10

Interesting, odd, funny movie. Could have been better, but it had some funny parts in it.

It started stronger than it ended...in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree.

Towards the end, they tried way too hard to let the audience know that there would be a sequel lol.

The problem is that there isn't any character that is compelling enough for you to want to see a sequel.

Kill Bill: 10

Just watched it on TNT for the hundreth time. Love that movie.

It's probably top 3 all time for me. Great story.

I think I like the Michael Madsen parts the most in that one.

 The Bride never actually says anything to Budd

Part 3 is actually almost under way. W/ Vivica Fox's daughter out for revenge

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief - 6/10.

It was slightly more adult oriented than I expected, but still it was a lackluster adventure movie with a lame plot. Probably a little too long as well (especially the Vegas part).

That's generous. My son loved loved loved the books (I read and enjoyed them too). The movie was awful. 3/10.

Middle Men 7/10

I don't think Luke Wilson is the best person to play the lead role here and several parts (especially early) didn't work so well. Much of it just didn't seem believable. That said, the movie improved by the end of it and it ended up being a pretty good movie.

Being that it's about the pr0n industry; there is quite a bit of nudity in it, but it isn't completely over the top and not throughout the entire movie. (a movie just isn't respectable if it is like that, ie Show Girls) Well, nothing was respectable about Show Girls anyhow.

If you're a movie goer and lots of nudity doesn't bother you, it's worth seeing. (I know most of you are pervs, so I'm talking to only a few of you! :laugh2: )

The Other Guys: 9/10

Will Ferrell is still funny as hell. Mark Wahlberg came through on the comedy tip as well. Some scenes seemed a little force for him, but he was pretty darn funny in this movie I have to say. I actually like The Rock. He's pretty funny, IMO. This movie was non-stop laughs the entire time. Very Very good.

Dinner For Schmucks: 6/10

Meh. It was funny, but some parts were just plain dumb. I love Steve Carrell, but this isn't his funniest work. It's enjoyable (I didn't hate it), but it could have been better. All in all, a good weekend for movies for me.

The Other Guys--------------8.5/10

Ok, i didn't expect this movie to be this funny but i laughed my *** off watching it. I'm not a big Wahlberg fan but he was pretty funny most of the time.

Saw The Other Guys today.

I thought it had some pretty good laughs, however it lost some steam towards the end. I've come to the conclusion that Will Ferrell movies need repeat viewings to appreciate his comedy. Anchorman is one that comes to mind. Thought it was terrible, but now I find myself quoting it on occassion.

I'd say 7/10. May get funnier on further viewings.

The Road 9/10

Bleak as bleak can be; had to keep "pausing" it because it was getting to me. Not sure what the apocalyptic event was: nuclear war or something environmental.

Observe & Report: 5/10

The flasher at the mall was hilarious.

The book never said what it was. Just the end. If they movie got to you, the book would have ripped our your heart through your chest, bent you over, and put it back in from the other end. The movie was really faithful actually just a bit rushed.

Yeah, something about babies being roasted on a spit. No thanks.
