Inglorious Basterds 6/10.

I felt it was entertaining, but it definitely shouldn't win any awards. I would have given it a 7, but it was another movie that suffered from the "anything over 2 hours is too long!" category along with QT's long slow dialogs. One thing that was clear from the get go, Quentin Tarantino was watching Hogan's Heros when he came up with the idea. (came up? more or less copied the premise)

The fact that it was **** based, comedy styling, and filming style all screamed Hogan's Heros.

LOTR is barely a movie. Just some dudes walking around talking nonsense. Turned it off after 19 minutes

I have to disagree.

The Lord of the Ring movies are among the best films and one best examples of how to make a film based on a book in history.

I'm a huge LotRs fan. I loved the books and the movies, but I will say this. In Return of the King, the Frodo / Sam parts sucked in my opinion. (most of them anyhow) The other half of the movie was incredible. It's hard for me to watch Return of the King because of the Frodo / Sam parts of the movie. They were just to slow and boring most of the time.

Of all the movies, I think The Two Towers is the best from beginning to end.

I felt Return of the King was the best of the 3.

One of the main reason I have such a high opinion of the Lord of the Ring Series is that the movies continually got better.

For me, Return of the King, especially the extended edition is the best, followed by The Two Towers and then The Fellowship of the Ring.

Personally, the only portion of any of the 3 movies that was hard to watch was Gollum's soliloquies.

Also, never was there a soundtrack that matched the mood and theme of a movie as was the case with Lord of the Ring.

I cannot wait for The Hobbit, which will be 2 movies, if I am not mistaken.

at least the Dark Knight had a great performance from Heath Ledger

The only people who liked District 13 are victims of South African apartheid or Peter Jackson fan boys

I liked District 13 simply because that was a good movie. And show MSFT that they should have let them doing the Halo movie which would have a been BA

I suppose I should have made that Frodo / Sam / Golum.

As for the Hobbit, I can't either. Of the books themselves, it's by far my favorite book.

The Hurt Locker -- 6/10

meh, it was ok, supposed to be character driven, yet the characters were just alright, not enough to carry the movie without some of the action, and oh my GOODNESS! the sniper bit was BORING!

it's funny though, reading the user reviews on iTunes, all military personnel hated the movie because it was "unrealistic", well, I'd say about 97% of them hated it

"I hope they serve beer in Hell".......Funniest book I ever read. The movie?? average at best. 5/10

Training Day ( might be the last person on the planet to watch this one). 8/10. Good flick, but the fact that a cop could be this bad, and show his dark side to a rookie cop all in the first day of the job was pretty unbelievable. Denzel was spectacular though, damn that guy act his butt off.

It was one of the few scenes that contained any real action.

the thing is though, Denzel set him up so that he couldn't reveal any of that to anyone

or he would make sure he got tested for smoking that PCP

Sherlock Holmes: 8/10

Watched it with the fiance and it was a lot of fun. Only complaint is that all it did was set up the series and the final diabolical plot ended up not being so diabolical afterall.

Rare Birds - 6.5/10

Quirky comedy about a restauranteur and his submarine building friend who claim to have seen a thought-to-be extinct bird in the bay behind the restaurant, in order to bring business to the area. A slow movie where the funny bits bring chuckles instead of laughs.

World's Greatest Dad - 5/10

Not something I enjoyed at all. The humor was awkward and seemed to try too hard. A few of the outdoor shots were filmed a few blocks from me, so that was a nice surprise. However, I was considerably less excited to see Robin Williams' junk. The movie got rave reviews, but I thought it was terribly disappointing.

Yeah call it in so more people can get taken out. I don't know that doesn't sound like the best move to me.

I still don't know what to think about this movie. I thought Downey and Law were good and the score was pretty good but there were times where I was bored out of my mind.
