The Lord of the Ring movies are among the best films and one best examples of how to make a film based on a book in history.

(most of them anyhow) The other half of the movie was incredible. It's hard for me to watch Return of the King because of the Frodo / Sam parts of the movie. They were just to slow and boring most of the time.
Of all the movies, I think The Two Towers is the best from beginning to end.

The only people who liked District 13 are victims of South African apartheid or Peter Jackson fan boys
I suppose I should have made that Frodo / Sam / Golum.Maikeru-sama;3262871 said:I felt Return of the King was the best of the 3.
One of the main reason I have such a high opinion of the Lord of the Ring Series is that the movies continually got better.
For me, Return of the King, especially the extended edition is the best, followed by The Two Towers and then The Fellowship of the Ring.
Personally, the only portion of any of the 3 movies that was hard to watch was Gollum's soliloquies.
Also, never was there a soundtrack that matched the mood and theme of a movie as was the case with Lord of the Ring.
I cannot wait for The Hobbit, which will be 2 movies, if I am not mistaken.

meh, it was ok, supposed to be character driven, yet the characters were just alright, not enough to carry the movie without some of the action, and oh my GOODNESS! the sniper bit was BORING!
it's funny though, reading the user reviews on iTunes, all military personnel hated the movie because it was "unrealistic", well, I'd say about 97% of them hated it

Training Day ( might be the last person on the planet to watch this one). 8/10. Good flick, but the fact that a cop could be this bad, and show his dark side to a rookie cop all in the first day of the job was pretty unbelievable. Denzel was spectacular though, damn that guy act his butt off.

It was one of the few scenes that contained any real action.

Yeah call it in so more people can get taken out. I don't know that doesn't sound like the best move to me.Bob Sacamano;3263822 said:yeah, in bits and spurts
a real combat team wouldn't have done that though w/o at least calling it in
I still don't know what to think about this movie. I thought Downey and Law were good and the score was pretty good but there were times where I was bored out of my mind.TheCount;3263945 said:Sherlock Holmes: 8/10
Watched it with the fiance and it was a lot of fun. Only complaint is that all it did was set up the series and the final diabolical plot ended up not being so diabolical afterall.
