Miserably depressing movie. I did like Bully though, even with it's main premise not withstanding, was also a pretty dismal look into the lives of some kids. Larry Clark has the ability to pretty much sum it up in all it's ugliness. No glamour what so ever.

great movie

scary how it's all true

I have been meaning to watch Bully but I haven't yet. I think its on my queue on netflix but it might be further down and i keep moving the new releases to the top of the list. Maybe its time to move Bully closer to the top of the list.

it's feels like an indie flick, so if you're into big productions and such, then it's probably not for you

I'm not going to say it will change your life and you'll want to see it again and again, I've only seen it once, but I recommend it

It's worth the watch, especially if you like that sort of thing. Meaning getting down to a pretty realistic interpretation. It felt like a documentary. Visceral seems a good word to describe it.

I do watch big productions when i'm in the mood, but I probably watch more foreign films and indie type flicks than big Hollywood productions.

I don't mind the visceral and painfully realistic films as long as it is well done and i can stomach the subject matter.

Thank you both for your input. I'll definitely check it out.

Last night, I took one for the team and watched "The Time Traveler's Wife".

I'm gonna catch flak for this but it wasn't half bad. I tell you what...Rachel McAdams has become one of my favorite female actors. Natural beauty right there.

As far as the story, it will definitely get confusing if you aren't paying attention as the main character (Eric Bana) bounces around quite a bit.

When I got home from work last night my wife was watching this. She was about 40 minutes into and my nephew and I had to wait till she was done with it to do our workout cause she had the TV and DVD player tied up obviously.

Anyway....SNOOZE. The stupid character in the movie bounced around so much that it was just way to random and way to confusing (cause at points in the film he's in the present time more than once. Meaning a past self of his and a future self of his are both traveling into the present time) and distracting.

Everything from that point in the movie, to the end, that we saw just seemed extremely random and most of the time quite pointless. There were a few scenes where his travels to different times made sense to something that was going on in his present life but most of it was just...boring.

It's certainly not the worst show I've ever seen (I'm not sure that anything will ever top the Talented Mr. Ripley for that honor. *Shudders at the mere thought of that stupid film* ) but it was just painfully boring.

3/10

George Romero's Dawn of the Dead - 8/10. Yes, I know it was from 1978, but I caught it on TV and watched it. I've found my taste for horror movies has pretty much turned South over the years, but for some reason I still really like a good zombie movie and this one was about as good as it got for me.

i thought it was pretty good to be honest. the book was much better though.
