The only good scene(s) in New Moon were the ones in Italy, no wolves at all.

A Serious Man had no meaning, try as it might.

The only good thing about the Italy scenes were that it was nice to see vampires not suffering from teen angst and even then, nothing all that interesting.

I arrived too late (thanks wife!) to the CotT screening and they filled up before I could get in, so I went and saw How to Train your Dragon in 3D. Very good movie, 8/10.

Sherlock Holmes -- 10/10

Guy Ritchie does it again. I panned Robert Downey Jr. for his take in Iron Man, but he really knocked this one out of the park.

Orphan - 8/10

We need a name for these kind of movies. Very watchable, interesting movie w/ no redeemable value whatsoever. Fun to watch w/ a handful of people and crack a joke or two but really youre all pretty into it

For example at one point a 9 year old girl appears to try and give Peter Sarsgard an HJ

A Clash of Kings
8/10

I didn't like the ending, but overall a dang good book. Just downloaded A Storm of Swords and will at least read the prologue tonight.

clash of the titans 7.5

havent seen the original since the 9th grade but from what i remember it seems to follow the original the whole way through just with better visuals, until the end where they rather obviously leave it open for a sequal. nothing other than visuals adds or takes away from the original so still a good movie worth going to see.

Just saw Clash of the Titans this morning

I'd give it a 9.5/10 I only subtract 0.5 because it takes some liberties with the original plot line that I wasn't really thrilled about. Not enough Bubo, they left out some plotlines I felt should have stayed in, and they changed the romatic interest. The rest of the movie was pretty kick *** and the special effect was awesome.

DO NOT watch it in 3D, you will be wasting your money. Only watch it in 2D, 3D was done post-production and is not near as good as Avatar was. 2D was kick *** and watching it in 3D only adds a few things that don't add much.

Typical Bond flick. Bond meets girl, stuff blows up. Insane bad guy trying to kill everyone. But I will say I like this Bond the best. The actor plays him very close to the vest and subdued. Not a lot of sillyness.

8/10

ah you must remember the original better than i do, what plot lines were left out? and i thought the original romantic interest might have been the princess is that right?

i had planned on re watching the original but as soon my gf saw how old it was she refused to watch it lol

Clash of the Titans - 6/10

Well, in what is I guess supposed to be the first big movie of the "summer" they turned out a pretty lackluster movie.

The original Clash has some obviously bad and corny effects, which would seem to make it a good candidate for a remake with current technology. Unfortunately, the effects, by today's standards, are still pretty awful (with the Kraken being a slight exception).

The story is changed from the original in that his "love" for Andromeda is not the driving force for Perseus, but instead his anger at a God for the death of his family. This makes him come off somewhat poorly and for the most part he seems rather disinterested in the bigger things going on around him, it's just all about revenge.

There's no real depth to any of the characters and the audience doesn't really feel any connection to them. The action is mediocre, and really, there's not that much of it. And again, the effects are pretty bad by today's standards.

Ultimately the lack of connection to the characters, or any story elements that make the audience care about what is going on leaves us with a average, meandering, bore.

Do you think 6/10 may be a little generous? It's getting horrible reviews, to the point where I'm not even going to see it in the theater now.

We watched it today. Really well cast, good flick. On a side note, Direct TV's 1080P downloads are not that bad.

Maybe. I wouldn't say it's an really bad film, just not a very interesting or good one. To me 6/10 is just a "meh" movie. I didn't hate it, but I won't give it much more thought for the rest of my life and certainly won't see it again. 5/10 and below is starting to get pretty bad.

I'm not gonna trust imdb.com reviews anymore, because they're pretty hard on this movie and I thought it was pretty good.
