Fantastic movie. That was the first encounter I ever had with Farrell and I thought the guy would go on to have an incredible career.

Then for some reason he just started sucking and never stopped (save In Bruges).

I saw more great acting by 3 or 4 different supporting actors than I've seen from many lead roles lately. Just an all around great cast. Clifton Collins Jr is very underrated.

BTW, apparently you can buy the movie on iTunes for 5.99. Freakin' steal.

And just think, it's from the same guy that brought us Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

It's bizarre -- like he stole someone's term paper or something.

You've never seen "Road to Perdition"?

Good one there. I never knew it was Jude until a few years after I saw it and the information started coming out for, gag puke wretch, Sky Captain and The Urge to Run a Flaming Skewer Through Gwenyth Paltrow's Eyes.

Tigerland -- 10/10

Colin Farrell actually acts in this movie instead of running around in every scene with a dour face.

It's a shame the studios have jacked around with the movie/role he is meant for: John Kelly/Clark in Without Remorse.

They need to get on the ball and make that already and then they need to cast him.

Hot Tub Time Machine - 9/10

Hilarious and just all around entertaining.

If by hilarious you mean there are a few funny bits, but it mostly falls flat, and by entertaining you mean it's not extremely boring, then I agree.

Ponyo - 7/10

I love Princess Mononoke and liked Howl's Moving Castle but this one seemed obviously geared towards children. Nothing really happens through out the movie of any significance. The animation was great though.

The movie could have done with Liam Neeson, the animated character didn't fit his voice at all.

Those are directed by Hayao Miyazak he has some that are geared towards younger kids and ones towards the older kids.

If you like those two have you seen Spirited Away or Castle in the Sky

I enjoyed Kiki Delivery service but that is a different type of story than the ones I posted or the ones you listed

Miyazak is a great director

Probably will be the first Jude Law movie I see

You never watched Enemy at the Gates with Ed Harris and Jude Law playing the two snipers during World War II one a Russian and one a German.

Good stuff of course Hollywood changed up the ending from accounts but it is based on a true story and was very well done and Jude law does a masterful job.

I also liked him in Gattaca but that movie was just kind of there not bad but not oh my good great movie either; I seen worse.

This is everyone's cue to go rush out and watch the movie. ChildsPlay is like that Chicago newspaper movie reviewer that just writes the opposite of what everyone else thinks.

Everyone I know who has seen it has said the exact same things I did about it, and most of what I've seen people say on the internet is very similar.

Slumdog Millionaire 9.5/10 - really really good movie. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

Tried to watch Garden State. Thought they said it was a comedy, but after the first 15 minutes, I wasn't laughing

A Perfect Getaway - couldn't get through it either. I figured out who the murderers pretty early. They weren't being very subtle about it. Trying to put your suspicious on another couple that looks grungy doesn't help.

It wasn't really a mystery. The guy was creepy and weird as hell. His attempts to pretend to be who his job was laughable. How he got with such a hottie = sociopath.

Atonement 7/10 - I don't find whatshernuts to be particularly attractive. Too damn skinny. If she had some meat on her I'd probably have given the movie a 8/10.....silly reasoning, I know. The last fifteen minutes of the movie saves it.

Men Who Stare at Goats - 6/10 - I was disappointed. Looked forward to it, but found it pretty lacking.
