Clash of the Titans
3/10

Poor dialogue, wooden actors and cheesy effects.

I'm in the middle of watching so maybe it will get better but I doubt it

The Tenant ?/10

It's an artful film with heavily abstractionist tendencies; consequently, the narrative is virtually incomprehensible.

In other words, the movie don't make no damn sense.

I can't even venture a rating because I have no idea what I just spent two hours watching. The film seems to deal with themes such as alienation, paranoia, and insanity, but there's no thread tying them all together.

I generally like Roman Polanski's work--despite the fact that he's a raging pedophile--but this movie left me conflicted.

That is exactly how I felt after watching Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain".

I wasnt impressed either.
Yeah The Hurt Locker, at least at the beginning, looked like one of those movies I could get into, tons of action sequences, warfare, etc.

But it played out more like a soap opera with war moments thrown in here and there and it all just seemed a bit incoherent. I guess it may of given a realistic glimpse into war but as a movie it was boring. I was left feeling ripped off at the end.

Contrary to critical reviews, I did not find the movie bad at all. Despite nothing to call home about, and some poor CGI, I thought it was entertaining, so I give it 7.5/10.

I only saw it in 2D because I figured it wasn't worth seeing in 3D and I believe I was right.

You can say that about pretty much any Aronofsky movie with the exception of The Wrestler.

Ponyo - 7/10

I love Princess Mononoke and liked Howl's Moving Castle but this one seemed obviously geared towards children. Nothing really happens through out the movie of any significance. The animation was great though.

The movie could have done with Liam Neeson, the animated character didn't fit his voice at all.

True.

I think it's bizarre that Aronofsky is directing the next RoboCop movie.

Tigerland -- 10/10

Colin Farrell actually acts in this movie instead of running around in every scene with a dour face.

Fantastic movie. That was the first encounter I ever had with Farrell and I thought the guy would go on to have an incredible career.

Then for some reason he just started sucking and never stopped (save In Bruges).
