I saw Swing Vote last night, and it was well worth it just to hear the speech Kevin Costner's character made at the end.

so 10/10

Funny People - 6/10

Adam Sandler was good in it, hes underrated as a real actor. But Seth Rogen sucks as usual, not sure why hes the lead in all these movies. And I agree w/ everyone who says this was too long

Spoiler in white: So Leslie Mann changes her mind about Adam Sandler as a husband b/c he didnt cry at her stupid kids boring song and he got a text?

Speaking of which, do these movies always have to be a platform for Apatows family?

I don't know. Funny People was the worst movie. You could have edited atleast 30 min. of uneccesary footage of his kids. That movie was an Hour and a Half TOO LONG.

LOL. Bob seriously? It's a movie and you think they need to actually remind people to suspend belief for a movie?
I find it absolutely stupid the way people freak out over Avatar. It's a movie and they're complaining because it's not "real". Dear god, don't show them the Cartoon Channel, they might commit suicide!

Toy Story 3

9/10

Great Movie ..... Perfect ending ..... made me want to cry ...... fortunately I am way to macho.

(Wife is laughing at me and said I cried like a little girl)

:rolleyes:Just point me to one redeeming quality to come out of that movie. Besides the CGI.

Knight & Day - 7/10.

What is really cool is the setting is in my hometown.

I actually want to see this, it looks fun. Much better than that Ashton Kutcher movie, though the plots seem vaguely similar.

I'm just not in a rush to see anything right now, maybe I'll catch it on DVD.

I watched "Legion" a few nights ago. Kind of lame, so I would say about 5 out of 10.

Barbie; The Princess and the Pauper

The singing was well done, but the cat that acted like a dog was a little over the top. Plenty of entertainment for one low price of $3.99

Saw two movies last week ..

Shrek 4 .. 8/10

Definitely a good movie to close the Shrek series out though I felt like those of us who saw Shrek 3 should have been given free tickets to this release given how horrible Shrek 3 was. It was a good story concept though ripped from countless other movies yet it still proved to be entertaining and enjoyable. I would recommend waiting on the DVD/bluray though unless you have kids who loved past Shrek movies.

Toy Story 3 .. 9/10

This was a very good movie in my opinion which really surprised me. While I liked the previous Toy Story movies, I was not overly excited about going to see this movie at the theater. I am glad I did though as it turned out to be the best of the series. The movie was consistent and true to the past movies and presented several scenes that make you appreciate the passage of time in all of our lives from our youth into adulthood.

I would have given this movie a perfect 10 score if it had not been for how predictable just about every twist and plot was. Still, the movie was very enjoyable and I am very glad I went to see at the theater. If you have kids or are a kid at heart and liked the past Toy Story movies, I highly recommend you go see this at the theater.

Shutter Island: 6 or 7 out of 10

It was an ok movie, a little slow in parts, and went on longer than I think was necassary but it was somewhat interesting.

Unfortunately it was pretty predictable and I knew exactly how it was going to end about 30 minutes into the movie. It just seemed to pretty much be obvious through out the movie.

Dirty Pretty Things------------8/10

Not your typical Hollywood movie with an idealized ending but a very good movie nonetheless. Audrey Tautou is in it which is always a plus and i think Chiwetel Ejiofor is currently one of the better actors out there.

Continuing the "movies I should have seen 20 years ago" theme ..

Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier 4/10

Cheesy special effects; tacked-on Klingon subplot; row row row your boat; Uhura's fan dance (ugh); the so-called villian (Spock's brother) was too likeable; Sulu, Scotty, and Chekov had almost nothing to do; etc.

Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country 7/10

Better than its predecessor (esp the effects, Kirk v. Kirk), but still inferior to 2-4. Kinda had a feeling about that female Vulcan, too. The old farts beaming down to stop the assassination was borderline comical.

What did you think of the last Star Trek movie?
