Rate the last movie you saw

I thought this thread was rate the last movie you saw, not rate your rating scale.

Yep, my fault. I got stirred up because some clown on Trip Advisor gave 4/5 stars to a restaraunt they thought was awful and I got on the defensive about "grading" systems lol

Avengers

I enjoyed it

Nothing WOW though

It was forgettable... First one was better

I'll give it 8... Only because they made it with the formula they think is best. They accomplished that.

Me and others on here... Throughout the world should have some input. They make them so adult now. Getting a little boring.

American Sniper 7.5/10
Overall I liked it, but, felt a little flat in parts. At times it felt like it was trying to mimic Hurt Locker, but never got to that level.

Jupiter Ascending 6.5/10
Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum. A toilet scrubbing maid learns she is galactic royalty and heir to the Earth's ownership. The story and plot are a bit goofy and the dialogue and acting are, well.... meh, but the special effects and cinematography are outstanding. The movie looks great, it really is too bad the rest fails to live up to it.

Id go about that on American Sniper. It was good, cooper did a really good job. I found the wifes character borderline annoying, probably just me though. Want to read the book now

5.0/10.0

There are flimsy plotlines. And then there is Kite. The movie adds enough action and bloody gore to keep you guessing if it will put all the pieces together before the end credits start rolling. None of the characters stand out from the crowd, which is weird to say when one of the headliners is Samuel L. Jackson. India Eisley struggles with the title character, armed with very little dialogue and lackluster direction. IMO, she did more with a less screen time on Underworld: Awakening.

Saw a lot of movies this weekend, mostly on Netflix.

After - 6.5/10. Not bad, could have been better. Kind of a neat premise.
Upstream Color - 9/10. Loved it. It was directed by the guy who did Primer, which I also loved.
Furious 7 - 6/10. It is what it is.
Jinn - 6/10. Could have been a lot better. Decent effects. Kind of a cool plot, but extremely underdeveloped.
Absentia - 7/10. I liked it. Good mix of suspense/horror.

Wait, you've just now seen Lawrence of Arabia?

Corey from Pawn Stars (History Channel) hadn't seen any of the Star Wars movies until he watched the original Star Wars Ep. 4 (pawn stars episode from maybe last year's run or so). lol. He had to be forced to by his dad and Chum (friend). I mean, Star Wars? That's just sad.

Yeah, I've been marooned on Gilligan's Island for 45 years.

I have not been on an island for 45 years, but I've never seen Lawrence of Arabia. In fact, the only thing I think I know about it was that one of the actors had his teeth pulled for a part. And as I said, I only THINK I know that, I might not even be thinking of the right movie.

In my top ten at least. I really can't separate the great ones. Have you seen the Old Man and the Sea and Captains Couragous?

The Salvation 7/10
Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green and Jeffrey Dean Morgan star in this Danish western, filmed in South Africa. A fairly straightforward story based on revenge, a settlers family is murdered and vengeance ensues. A little weird at first, watching "Hannibal" in a western, but he does a good job. It's not an epic western, by any means, but it's got a couple good shoot-outs and cast to make it entertaining.

Tank Girl 7/10
Lori Petty, Naomi Watts, Ice-T and Malcolm McDowell star in this post- apocalyptic action comedy. It's based on the Tank Girl comics and is one of those stories that you kinda have to get it, to enjoy it and unfortunately, the movie studio didn't. This is a classic case of a studio, not understanding the property and the script/scenes were cut to ribbons. It's supposed to be weird, crazy and over the top, it could have been epic, but the studio neutered it. The post apocalyptic world has severe water shortages and the evil Water and Power Corp controls most of the water. Tank Girl with the help of Jet Girl and the genetically mutated Rippers battle the evil corporation. Lori Petty plays the Tank Girl character perfectly. It has a lot of faults, but I still enjoyed it and it had it's moments. I'd still like to see it re-made, the way it should have been done in the first place.

Just based on the list so far I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up zero for ten. I think we might have wildly disparate taste in movies.

I like my action movies high on entertainment with low calories, too. No horror but zombies ok.
