Star Trek Renegades.

As a huge Star Trek fan, I never even heard of this movie until seeing it on my buddy's Plex server.

There is a good reason for not knowing about it I guess. It was not a quality Star Trek movie. It seem to lack a decent budget and some of the actors were terrible. IMDB says it's a series, but there is only one episode. (the pilot I guess)

Hell or High Water - 7/10

I have been putting off watching this, seemed it would be not my thing. But, glad I finally sat down to see it, well worth the watch. It is basically set in W. Texas pitting bank robbers versus Texas Marshalls.

Molly's Game: 4/10

Really bad dialog. Just a bad movie, all around. Disappointing, because I really like Idris Elba and poker.

I, Tonya - About what I expected - in a good way, and I will gladly give Margot Robbie my gold medal any and every day./10

Did this scene crack you up as much as it did me:

The guy that knee caps Kerrigan breaks out the glass of the exterior door so he can escape but as he's leaving he randomly tackles some old man walking on the sidewalk

I don't know why but that scene had my laughing for the rest of the movie, I'm laughing again just thinking about it

it was so random and pointless but HILARIOUS

I thought Mollys Game was good and had an interesting story/7.5

I used to be obsessed with poker and even tried to go pro in the late 90's so perhaps thats why I'm drawn to it

Of course, Jessica Chastain is always easy on the eyes as well

Downsizing. 7/10. Really unique premise, and a really deep film on a number of levels, with kind of a light hearted surface. It did drag on a little too long, however. I was pleasantly surprised.

Maze Runner: Death Cure - Much better than the second, and just as good as, if not better than, the first/10.

I watched Darkest Hour last night, excellent movie, Gary Oldman with an Oscar worthy performance. 8.5/10

I've seen 4 of the 9 movies nominated for Best Picture, 3 Billboards, Get Out, Darkest Hour and Dunkirk and my favorite so far has been 3 Billboards. I think 3 Billboards is gonna be tough to beat, but I'm gonna try and watch a couple of the others before the Oscars.

It was fan made and fan funded. Hence the budget problems and the acting.

There are plenty of these out there, with plenty of the characters and actors from the Star Trek series. They are all good attempts, but it's just hard to make anything decent without the right funding or professionals. I like the ideas and everything, I never understood why Star Trek goes forever without making anything, there is a market for it and the actors want to keep it up. But anyway, none of these movies are actual Star Trek.

JUNGLE,,, it's based on the real life adventure of a dude who had spent 3 years in the Israeli defense forces ,in 1980 he hobo'd it to Bolivia, hooked up & made friends into jungle trekking,,, the best couple of parts ( that I thought) was when one dude shot a monkey and the way he cooked it on the fire(he just flopped the tree varmint on the blaze),,,I don't think I could've enjoyed eating that ,like that, you know that had to of stunk like the sewer vent from hell itself cooking up,not even to have been eviscerated and dude shot it with a shotgun too,so it had numerous
' vent' holes in it,,,,,one dude develops bad feet & can't hump, and they gotta get out of the jungle b-4 monsoon so they build a raft, crash,he's lost for 17 days, stumbling around,,,the second neatest part was that he had a lump on his forehead & he cuts it open and with a pair of tweezers extracts about a 6" squirming, squiggly worm & drops it in his canteen cup,,,,:lmao:
MELONFEUDIAN recommendation of repeat viewing: 7/10

Gifted - Bigger budget version of a lifetime movie channel movie. Easily a chick flick. With that said... It was OK for the genre and audience it targeted. So if you have a female friend (wife or not) who wants to see a chick flick... Suggest this one. You can live through it lol.

Cloverfield... Just not getting thetlove for this one. Only a little ways in and had to take a break from the one woman yelling Jason over and over in an annoying way. Will try to give the rest of it a try later.

Madea's Boo 2 - I normally like the madea comedy movies (not so keep on the Tyler serious ones) And although they are normally silly I still enjoy them. Liked the first Boo movie even though it was not the best Madea comedy. Boo 2 was a serious let down. The girl learned nothing from the first movie and if anything was even more of a brat that needed a beating. Also.. It just was not as funny.
