Wayne's World is the goat, but this one ranks up there. One of, if not the, best movies adapted from SNL Skits.
Here are some others.Wayne's World is the goat, but this one ranks up there.
Confirmed! You got soul! Some other movies that although not the best but still funny and a good watch when you are bored.
The New Guy
Undercover Brother
Bubble Boy

Agreed about the special effects looking wild when it first came out but looking bad now.Tron - The OG movie from 1982. I revisited this one for the first time in years.....and by years, I mean decades. It’s a movie I’ve always enjoyed, and last night was no exception. Sure, it’s got some cheese, but if you can suspend reality for a bit, it’s a genuinely fun ride. One funny thing: I remember watching this as a kid and thinking the special effects were absolutely mind-blowing. Watching it now.....yeah.....they’re definitely archaic, but honestly, that’s part of the charm in my opinion. While I enjoyed the revisit, the wife wasn’t nearly as interested. Guess it’s a guy’s movie.
Next up, I’m planning to watch the newer ones. I almost jumped straight into the newest installment last night, but then realized I hadn’t seen the original in forever, so watching them in order felt like the right move.
I think most know I am a fool for WWII movies.
I did not see the dubbed version, just subs.
Still liked it though. A little different take at the end.
Not Fury level but still good.
Another WWII tank movie but from the russian side. I liked this one and seen it some time back.
Now...Two ones I watched for a short time and just had to quit...
I normally like most of Jack Blacks comedies. On occasion I find ones I do not like, like year one and Nacho Libre....This one is added to the ones that I did not like.
Maybe if this back in the 80s and you pick some random video at the store cause the cover looked cool. You watched it and even though cheesy you still liked it....Well, this is not the 80s lol. Pass
If you liked those...T-34 was quite excellent, had never heard of it before but just finished it up on Prime. Far fetched in spots but a very enjoyable watch, thx. Always good seeing the Russians kicking azz!
So, I ended up being hypocritical about this film.Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025)

It is not as good as the original, but I definitely believe it is better than the sequel. The story flows more smoothly from start to finish.
That said, James Cameron does not recreate the wheel here. He reuses the same formula as seen in the first two movies. Cameron pumps more action into this third film. And the ending has a welcome twist, although I think everyone will see it coming from a MILE away.
The Q&A afterwards sounds like a great experience. In one of his earliest roles, Stephen Lang has an unforgettable scene in the 1986 film Manhunter. That performance may have ignited his career. So, I ended up being hypocritical about this film.
I was away for the weekend in a town called Chatham, NY.
Turns out that actor Stephen Lang (Miles Quaritch from Avatar) lives there and was showing the film with a Q&A afterwards.
The film was what I expected, but it was great to meet Mr. Lang. I’ve long been a fan of his work.
It really was. He was a very friendly and approachable guy. And his involvement is helping to keep the local theater alive and well. The Q&A afterwards sounds like a great experience.
I’ll have to revisit that film. It’s been decades since I’ve watched it.In one of his earliest roles, Stephen Lang has an unforgettable scene in the 1986 film Manhunter. That performance may have ignited his career.
Chatham is right up the Taconic from me, nice little townSo, I ended up being hypocritical about this film.

Was that the prequel to Silence of The Lambs? The Q&A afterwards sounds like a great experience. In one of his earliest roles, Stephen Lang has an unforgettable scene in the 1986 film Manhunter. That performance may have ignited his career.
