I'm not even fixated on what character she's "supposed" to be. I hate whatever character she represents, whatever the name is. She's homely, unattractive, has the shape of a 12-year old boy, and comes off as a smart-alek jerk. There is literally no redeeming quality to the character whatsoever. The name doesn't even matter to me.

What do you guys think of how AMC Theatres let you pick your seat??? For me I don't like it because I don't know what jerk is going to be sitting next to me. I am sure I will get Jabba the Hut next to me or some stupid teenage girl on her cell phone right behind me. That annoying family with the out of control kids. I hate it.

I like it because I usually go when it's not too crowded, so I can see where I can be away from most people, and as far back as possible, so I don't have to look up at the screen.

Yeah but some fool picks a seat close to you and irritates you throughout the film. I don't like it because if I want to get up and move away from some jerk ,I can, but with AMC not sure you can..

If there's an empty seat, who's gonna stop you? Worst thing that happens is someone comes who bought the seat and you have to move again...but if you're far enough into it to know the first guy's a jerk, that probably won't happen.

Cinemark Theaters have adopted the same practice. My final opinion has not been decided yet but it is definitely leaning towards heavy dislike.

Agreed. That thing was a huge disappointment. Hopefully, James Gunn can do a better job with the one that he's set to direct.

How about the people that can't seem to grab the popcorn on the first 14 tries wrestling with the bag or box or the moron thinking that rattling ice in the cup magically creates more beverage?

We did have a funny thing happen about 15 years ago in a packed theater when we heard this woman yell out "would you PLEASE stop smacking those damned Milk Duds". The movie was about halfway through, so I am assuming this had been building up, and at first there was shock and then the laughter began to spread and I thought my wife might have to get up and go to the restroom she was laughing so hard.

I think I can top that although funny....

Many years ago, a group of us went to the dollar cinema...mostly family and friends. I was around 16 or 17 and forgot which movie. Anyways, this theater had a slant from top to bottom, no steps I was sitting in the exact middle row, middle seat.

About halfway through the movie, someone’s tray with trash on it began to slide down the floor. It sounded like a fuse was lit and some guy screamed “it’s a bomb”. Pandemonium broke loose and it was every man for himself. I lept up and was probably in the top 10 to get out. I was quick-footing it on top of heads and seats looking like the Heisman trophy :lmao:

Dark comedy. The humor and pacing of this film fits Jesse Eisenberg perfectly. Very enjoyable.

In my opinion (and it is necessary for me to especially state that within this discussion :muttley: ), Zendaya has a pretty face, which is downplayed somewhat in her Michelle Jones role, moreso in Spider-Man: Homecoming (i.e. messy hairdo, etc.) than Spider-Man: Far From Home, because she plays a teenaged loner with a crush on a superhero. For me, her acting makes her character's attitude appealing and attractive to a degree.

However, it is true her physique is nowhere near on par with an Abigail Ratchford. :p Zendaya belongs in that group of celebrities where opinions of beauty or handsome physical and/or emotional qualities are markedly divided. She is neither a Jessica Alba nor a plain jane. She is Zendaya. And she is pretty darn cute. Again, just my opinion. :)

Oh, that's the chick on Euphoria, I'm only one episode in but this looks out there. She's getting some pretty good press on that part that most of them didn't think she could handle because of her Disney background. But what the hell, if Marilyn Chambers, the Ivory soap girl, can do porn, the sky is the limit.

I am never going to forgive that old coot Walt for not allowing us some Annette Funicello hoobage. Speaking of child stars, and somebody was, back in the day there was this sitcom called "Make Room for Daddy" with Danny Thomas, which was a stupid name because he was always around and didn't seem to be cramped, and the chick playing the older daughter was Sherry Jackson. Well, after she left that show, she posed for Playboy. Now, I was hot for her anyway but when I saw her in Playboy, I went Oh My and God came out several hours later. My parents found me later and I could hear my Mom yelling "Carl, pry the damned magazine out of his hands and hit him in the chest, he's not breathing".
