Instead of going after peterson or spending a first round pick on a rb, why isn't Ray Rice a good football option? he's only 28, he can run btw the tackles, pass block and catch out of the backfield and can probably be had for less years (like 1 year), less guaranteed (like veteran's minimum) and less risk than a drafted rookie running back.

So the only thing I can see people having apprehension with is the domestic violence issue. But as far as a team that had enough faith to keep josh brent and sign greg hardy, it seems like a moot point to me. Unless it's too much baggage to handle? thoughts?

Really?

Did he have other ILBs out performing him on his own team?

3.3 sucks regardless of circumstances.

Maybe so.. I still think he'll do well here if he stays healthy.

A RB with all of his traits should produce.

Not at all the same situation, and a bad example...rolando mcclain was a round 1 draft pick and selected 8th overall, ray rice was a 2nd rounder

It's a bad example because you didn't follow along very well.

What runningback wont do well here? We have a premiere offensive line that any team would take in a heartbeat....just because of that we dont and shouldn't go out and get every has been or top notch runningback out there. Use the oline as planned and save some cap at the same time, by using the rbs we have on the roster ... I mean im sure cj2k could run for 2500 yards behind this oline:cool:

There are enough RB's to choose from the Cowboys don't need to roll the dice on a medical problem.

I would tend to agree. If the medical issue is overblown, like some reports say, then he will be a good RB. If not, steer clear of him.

Heck no.. He was already falling off.

Big fan of his though when he was coming out of Rutgers.

The only RB in history that is 30 or close to it that I would take a chance on is Peterson.
