Zeke is 23 years old he is not going anywhere, Cowboys will get him signed.
There are other rare talents that have been shown to be expendable though. That's kinda the point. Not all RBs are "expendable". Zeke is a rare talent.
I reallt think the "needs great protection" assertion has been disproven. He's had to deal with less than average protection this season and has risen to the occasion. And even with Zeke's ability to block as an RB it doesnt provide to much value to the team.
I'll never side with paying a franchise RB over franchise QB. Not in today's NFL
Hmmmmm against the Cardinals, the worst rush defense in the league, that gives up 153 yds/game to the run. I'm sure the Rams will rush to trade Gurley in the off-season and keep CJ. Tevin Coleman just put 145 rushing yards on the Cards the week before too, but has only broken 50 yards rushing prior to that game.
YepIf you dont have a Mahones, then the key to your offense is going to be a dominant Oline. Then you can have second tier RB's and QB's and still have a good offense.
Without those teams having Big Ben Patrick mahomes or Phillip rivers I think they wouldn’t be so good at running the football if we had r smith taking 300 touches we would be 5-11Been seeing a lot of talk about the upcoming decision of what we do with Dak...and rightfully so, as I feel like he’s been incredibly inconsistent but that is another conversation.
What about Zeke? Obviously this dude is the heart and soul of our O. I was on record saying we should’ve drafted Ramsey due to how easy it is to draft serviceable RBs. Not saying we made the wrong decision bc Zeke has been stelllar... but look around the league...
Steelers
Chargers
Chiefs
Etc...
Key RBs go down and life goes on...
Not saying don’t pay the dude, but I think it’s a serious question to be considered whether or not we make him the highest paid RB in the league moving forward at the expense of paying other guys on the team.
Exactly.Fresh legs in Week 16 can be deceiving
and 3 rushing TDs......... Goff also threw for over 350 yds, don't know, how much they really needed Gurley to run that game, except to punch in TDs of course. Using a couple games doesn't prove a point, that would be like saying Derrick Henry's performance in weeks 14 and 15 prove he's the best RB in the league or the Seahawks could win without Wislon at QB since he's only thrown for 300 yds once all year.In the Rams and Cardinals first matchup Gurley had 42 rushing yards

That's one thing about cherry picking stats, but cherry picking, cherry picked stats is another.
What are you talking about????Exactly.
Don't pay big money or spend premium picks.
Just sign street FAs every other week and get the same or better production!
But the fresh legs argument doesnt really matter in the graphic I quoted. Gurley didnt achieve that all season long. Beginning when he had fresh legs, middle, or end.
Did you read the tweet or not? What are you talking about????
Gurley has 208 yds Week 6
Street FAs are on the street for a reason
You want elite production year after year you need to draft them early....period
You are babblingDid you read the tweet or not?
.....no you really dont period
You are babbling
Gurley had 208 yds Week 6
You are talking about a Street FA that had a good game against a team that gave up weeks ago......yeah
