Requiring Lights Out Defensive Play Is Not A Formula For Success

Absolutely, Lest we forget this was the easy part of their schedule, now they get to go to Santa Clara and play the 49ers followed by the Chargers, Rams and Eagles. Cowboys will get blown out with their red zone woes!
They should be able to go 2-2. I am counting the 49ers as a L. Chargers match up well with the defensive strengths. Rams will keep the game close, but I see that as a game we win. Eagles is a toss up. They are "eye test" better than us, but anything could happen. I just think Hurts will have a RG3 type of game on us.

And you’re crying like a little witch about it? Defense that plays lights out have won a lot of Super Bowls. Steelers, Cowboys, Giants, Ravens, Bucs, Broncos, etc. Your team is 4-0 so you should be happy.
Everyone knows what you mean by "witch".

If you don't want to post just don't post, no point in getting a benching.

He almost was today.

20/21 against the defense that dog walked Dak.
Dak wasnt out there by himself. The Cards locked up our WR's and the playcalling was atrocious especially in the redzone.

Even if the Cards lose the rest of their games, that doesnt change the fact that they went into that game with a great gameplan and the fight to prove themselves.

We're 3-1.

The 1 is from the one game that the defense didn't play lights out.

The game last week showed what happens if the defense isn't dominate.

The defense/special teams have put the ball into the end zone more than the passing game has thus far.

This is not sustainable and if these red zone issues are not fixed we are going to lose more games that we should win.
While I agree that we need to improve our red zone scoring, I also know this: if the roles were reversed, and we were 3-1 with a top 3 offense and a good, but flawed defense, you’d be starting doom-n-gloom threads lamenting impending disaster. I don’t know you, but I have never seen you post “I like so and so” or “I hope we win”!

Who IS your team?

Everybody needs to play “lights out” to win a championship.

That's not true and has been proven time and time again.

Nobody ever won a Super Bowl because someone like their Center played lights out.

There's certain positions that need to step up when things aren't going perfect and can really affect the outcome of games.

49ers are juggernaut! I see the Cowboys underdogs vs at least 2 maybe 3 of those teams, with the Rams as the best shot for a win over the next month. Those Chargers can put up some points going to be tuff sledding!

What the actual hell. I’ve been watching the NFL for 56 years and I’ve never heard a fan gripe about having a dominating defense. Dominating defense can in fact win games regularly in the NFL.

Had to come on and complain about something. Notice how he said the passing game and not the offense? This dude has some serious issues with Dak.
Dude has serious issues period. When you say you’re a fan and root for your team to lose or a player to struggle so you can start threads and whoop it up - something ain’t right.

Captain Obvious here to tell us that we can't win in a sustainable way if the defense has to dominate every week - with a side of he thinks QB1 sucks in case you forgot. We got it man, we really do understand your stance at this point on the QB. We've been reminded by some 23K posts of yours in a very short time.

There's some truth to what you are saying, it's something to watch out for, but 14 penalties and a hobbled-together O-line made it hard to draw a conclusion on the Atlanta game. Is that a genuine concern that will reappear or was it just a combination of it being a bad situation and some uncharacteristic mental mistakes? I don't think you can make a clear diagnosis just yet. We've generally moved the ball well.

I think the the Cowboys defense matches up very good against the chargers. After taking a loss at SF, they will be looking to rebound and I would not want to be Justin Herbert. Hopefully by then, the OL is meshing together well, and Dak has one of his "special" games.

The only games that matter are the ones played in January.
