Rodgers does throw less INTs than Romo. His INT% is about 2 which is very good. Romo's is I believe 2.6 which is close to being very good. The elite QBs generally get better over time and Rodgers is in the 1.2-2ish range. Romo has had two years around 3ish and three years 1.6-1.9. If you throw out the early years then Rodgers is in the low to high 1% and Romo in the mid to high 1% to 3ish. Basically Rodgers throws 1.8 INTs per 100 passes and Romo throws 2.7 per 100 passes. That's about 1 more every 3+ games or 3-4 more a year.
Romo's GWDs and GWCs are in the top five in the NFL.....ever. Rodgers is not in the same ballpark.
I don't look at stats by themselves and they have to be interpreted carefully, looking at the tape knowing the play call and responsibilities of each WR, who's hot, who's primary yada, and knowing down, distance and game situation. All that means is we fans can't really look at the stats or even the All22 along with the stats and know the truth.
My criteria is watching them play and knowing either of them is capable of winning it all. I wouldn't trust my judgment on this but listen to the myriad of players who say Tony is elite and can win. If Roger and Troy, who have the knowledge as well as the inside information, say he can win then I'm listening.
But as always you're entitled to your opinion. Enjoyed the debate but gotta go buy tires for my daughter's car.
