Pedestrian players still win SBs and get MVPs. Ask Troy Aikman. He's on record as saying Tony Romo is a far better QB than he ever was.

Yet. Troy has 3 rings and is in the HOF. Tony has no rings and will probably never be in the HOF.

So you tell me. Is life fair? Or is it all just luck of the draw?

You actually believe Troy when he says that?

Consider yourself sucked. Emmitt Smith says Zeke is better. Any vet with class will anoint the heralded current starter better. It means nothing.

There is a 0% chance Tony Romo would have performed better than Troy Aikman during that dynasty.

A lot of truth to that.

He threw for 195 yards. That's pedestrian. He's a manager of the offense. That's fine for a rookie but this idiotic talk of MVP is laughable.

I'll even go farther. Eli has two rings and will probably make it into the HOF. Along with his brother, Peyton.

But Tony Romo probably won't. So. Is Eli Elite? Or was he just a pedestrian bus driver player that landed on an elite team that had a great defense?

Based on just about everything.

Wentz is bigger, faster, better arm, and better mechanics.

There's a reason most had Wentz graded as a first round pick and dak as a mid-round pick.

Yeah, it's called groupthink and FMO. These guys are staking their reputations and livelihood on their projections. Easier to be wrong when it's a consensus.

Wentz has more protypical traits. More talented? That should be put to rest at this point. Protection doesn't give you accuracy and placement. Wentz is over throwing a guy that's 6'5 and athletic lol

Does it really matter who's better? Dak seems to fit our O, our O is very effective, maybe some minor tinkering is needed...but for the most part our O is in great shape and Dak functions very well within the system. Now is Philly going to waste a good portion of Wentz best years trying to add the necessary pieces so he can be effective, similarly to how our team mismanaged Romo's best years...Wentz was gone when we picked at number 4, so this debate might be pointless, we got our starting RB and QB in the same draft, both staring and productive in our system. I think we should just be happy with that.

That is simply your opinion. And your opinion alone. Backed up by absolutely nothing.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. But don't come out here like your word is somehow the end all and be all and we're supposed to bow to the superior intellect.

LOL!!! I'll take Troy's words over yours. Any day and all day long.

Wentz is more talented and might be the better qb when its all said done, but at the end of the day Id rather have Dak+Zeke instead of just Wentz
Wentz throws bubble screens the majority of the time. Thats the extent of his skill in the nfl. They tried to open it up after the Cowboys game and the ints starting coming in. So they went back to the bubble screens. Wentz should've been a 4th 5th round pick.

Taking a beating? Because some posters cant look past the color of the jersey and make a fair evaluation?

These posters are in here basically saying "omg the stats arent close, Dak is way better!", but not considering the team/coaching discrepancy. Wentz numbers would be much better here and daks would be worse in Philly, so stats shouldnt even brought up.

Watch this video and tell me you arent impressed with a lot of these throws with a straight face. Look at that pass he made vs the Lions on the sideline to Matthews.

I get what you are saying,.,I do..
But you can't dismiss stats entirely when Dak has the stats and game play to warrant him to be considered a league MVP candidate. In fact you may not like it but he probably has as good a chance to be the NFL MVP this year as anyone. That's an accomplishment that very few players have ever been able to claim...and for a rookie it's unthinkable.

So we are not talking about just close stats. We are talking about a guy who in the last 11 4th Qtr and OT has only thrown 3 incomplete passes. What he has done is beyond reason. He will be starting in the probowl if we are not in the Super Bowl. It's not just a stats comparison.

I don't think it should be difficult to admit that Wentz has a stronger arm which allows for passes to zip through the air at a faster rate. Theoretically that should help a quarterback, which is why the few guys with his kind of arm are top picks.

There are also hundreds of quarterbacks with such arms sitting in the NFL trash bin. So it's far from a guarantee that it will lead to any success.

At this point, the strengths Dak has shown on an NFL field, frankly, far outweigh Wentz's, which has primarily been his golden arm. But we'd be foolish to pretend the race is over after 11 games in their respective careers.

Why you gotta bring race into it, bro?

They can slice it anyway you want to. The fact is, Dak took a sorry Mississippi State team in the hardest division in the world, to #1 in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. So he follows it up by taking a good Cowboys team to #1 in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. He has a knack for doing this you know. His team didn't stay number one because eventually talent wins over, but he's on a talented team now so who knows what's next...

Dak is a better player than Wentz. Dak has proven to be clutch, whereas Wentz has consistently wilted when the game is on the line. Every NFL executive missed on Dak so naturally they are reluctant to admit they were wrong. It's still hard to believe that we got the best player in the draft with the 135th pick.

Dak is 10 times smarter. That's how you win in this league, with brains. So Wentz can have all the talent in the world, but without smarts, he's just a walking nobody. Very few QBs actually have the super high-IQ needed to be elite in this league.

Wentz was valedictorian of his high school, and basically a 4.0 student at North Dakota State. Intelligence and a high IQ is not his problem.
