Pretty sparse with your selection of statistics. Let's look a little deeper.
Griffin has thrown 40 TDs in that timeframe, Carter only threw 29. Yet Carter threw 3 more INTs. Griffin also threw for more yards, had a higher yards per attempt, a higher completion percentage, BASICALLY A HIGHER EVERYTHING except interceptions. And to add, Griffin was a ROY. So no, they aren't comparable but thanks for trying.
You are what your record says you are as a QB. Brett Farve has the most INT's in NFL history, yet how many team do you think wanted him in his prime? Stats are nice, they really are. But if you can't win they mean absolutely nothing. (See Tony Romo and everyone that isn't a Cowboys' fan take on him as an example)
And at this point in their careers Quincy Carter has 1 stat that is better than RG3... and that is the most important one... winning games as a starting QB. Carter .516, RG3 .400.
RG3 cant read a defense, he can't even remember if he is suppose to be in a 3,5, or 7 step drop at this point. He is an athlete who excelled in college where the talent levels of teams aren't as close as they are in the NFL and being the best athlete on the field meant more. Carter may not have been the athlete RG3 is but he sure as hell could do both of those better than what we see Griffin do. So thanks for trying.
BASICALLY A HIGHER EVERYTHING except interceptions.
And wins... but to you it seems they don't matter as much as a single player award I suppose since you selectively skipped that one.
