Lost our last game in Texas Stadium...lost our first game in our new stadium...lost 3 straight division play-in games . Awful era. I could go on and on. Glad it's over. Now Dak hasn't done any better but he has a chance. Romo's era is done thank God.
Romo did his best to make the ending of the North Dallas 40 into real life.

Then there was the quote about not winning the playoff game and a good life which directly translated into "I don't want it bad enough."

Romo was a celebrity QB who didn't have the mindset to be a champion, and had the soul of a clown. That's why he was a choker.

Dak wants to win, and despite my criticisms of his play, I have never felt that Dak didn't care enough about being a champion like I know Romo didn't.
Man please.

The same QB that suited up w broken ribs and a punctured lung.

You dudes rewrite history

Who do you think had a better season. Both were peak years that could have won MVPs but got beat out by the narrative. Dak gets his chance to do what Romo couldn't do and beat the Packers. I'm going with Dak he has been lights out.

Romo - 3705 yards 34 TDs 9 Ints
Dak - 4516 yards 36 TDs 9 Ints
Threads like these are the reason why there is a division among fans, let sleeping dogs lye, all it does is piss off people on both sides.

I don’t think you could go wrong with either. But Romo that year had an elite o-line and running game as well, and Dak has been productive with less this year, plus healthier than Romo at that point. Love Romo but I’m going with Dak here.

You are really not following are you?

We already KNOW Romo played 15 games. Why would we count the one that we already know he didn't play? lol

The tail end of the first game where he got injured was negligible.

My analysis is accurate. Weeden came in twice in blowouts during the 2014 season. Not the 7 times Rush did. Oh and you are proving the point when you are saying Rush had 2 games worth of throws this year in garbage time....
Luuulz, no, you’re proving my point.

Where did I say Rush had two games worth of throws? I only referenced it sarcastically because THAT WAS YOUR CLAIM.

I’m showing you Rush’s sporadic 69 total snaps and 24 total throws in 2023, DOES NOT equate to “2+ games” which is your claim.

You’re sloppily trying to equate Rush’s aggregate mop up duty as 2+ games to make up the “15 games vs. 17 games” difference. That “analysis” doesn’t check out.

Football is still a fight. In a fight, attention always goes to the winner, not second place. Unless building further.

I love Romo and feel like we lost him just as the game was getting easy for him. Dak has made me feel like he is about at that same point now. He has really taken to the WCO footwork connection to pass timing as if he wonders how guys play the game without that.
m.
Between his delivery change a few years ago and now the footwork WCO change I feel like we are getting the best version of hi Leading the league in TDs shouldn’t be understated. I trust Dak to stay on the field more than Romo then, so I might have to go with Dak which I wouldn’t have said at the beginning of the year.
+1
Besides.......how can we answer at this time w/o knowing how far Dak is going this season?

Yes, Romo had a great line in 2014, but people forget that the passing and running games are in a synergistic relationship. Both a very good QB and very good running game/offensive line help each other. You typically will not have a very good running game with an average QB.
So you are saying the Dak bashers were wrong when they said Dak was a below average QB and Zeke was the reason he played well in 2016?

Romo and in reality it isn't even close. Huge factor many people overlook is the defense. The D back in 2014 was terrible, guys off the street, not even Sean Lee was playing compared with Prescott having an elite top 3-5 defense backing him up including the soon to be Defensive Player of the Year.

The Cowboys also had a signature win in 2014 - Romo made several clutch throws to overcome the special teams giving the Seahawks 14 points. He also had several excellent wins coming from behind and the victory over a Lions' excellent defensive front 7 in the Play Offs was impressive as well.

Prescott has a nice easy game to start vs the Packers then heavy favs at home vs The Lions. He will be judged by how he plays against the 49ers. Will it be third time lucky?

I think the same could be said about both of them honestly
Chokers? Why does time in playoffs build that level of play stronger? Try to figure out why a gondola has the rower on one side of the boat and goes straight in the water...duh. There is a reason...one side of the boat is longer than the other.
